Today was the final race of the season for our little Cousins the Whippet ..
Sandown Greyhound Track plays host to these little Fire crackers the Whippet and their families .

What a great family filled day with plenty going on to keep people interested and what a great little show these guys put on and next year i will win the Calcutta .( My little girl who i had in the Calcutta managed a great second place but she has a true racing heart the size of Phar lap and she will go on to bigger and better things next year ..

A great BBQ lunch was had by all and after the final event was raced everyone settled down for the Trophy's and a great raffle ..( Sorry i won it three times ..lol) .

I did donate everything back except the XMAS hamper because it had two bottles of booze lol... so they can use these prizes through out next year for prizes so the warmth and companionship these people displayed would put US ALL TO SHAME

The Trophy ceremony was a great event and everyone who attended today enjoyed there day out and it was encouraging to see everyone enjoy themselfs Young and old it dont matter because these little Gems are the apple of every Owners eye and many were RESCUED dogs ..

It is very encouraging to see other Canine Groups use our FACILITIES and I believe this is our FUTURE ..

I am downloading some Video's of todays events for you all to see on our facebook pages ...

Distances ...90 metre ...180 metre ...515 metre in a time of 37 sec ...

Whippets race Twice a day ....The Whippet has a stronger more sound constitution making it great for the Amueter people to enjoy plus also you still get that winning feeling regardless if you race for money or Trophies .
