It means the Liberals are shoring up their stocks after so many unpopular moves by Baird and his cronies
But the mail about Gladys is that she is a LEFTIE and you all know how they are against so much in our way of life ... and that includes greyhound racing
what will stop Gladys coming in and saying the decision to reverse the ban on greyhound racing was Baird's and she will not stand by that
YES, it would be the end of her politically
but remember all of you, as it stands right now, the legislation to ban greyhound racing in NSW still stands and as of July 1 2017 this industry will close.
I agree the Liberals would be stupid not to repeal the legislation but just when is this going to happen?
It hasn't happened yet
it took them a week to ban us, but it has been almost four months now since the end of the ban was announced ... and still no change

but I for one totally agree with all your sentiments
isn't it nice to see Baird (and Grant) subjected to the sort of humiliation we had to endure back in July 2016.

whoever advised Baird to ban greyhound racing has nailed him to the cross. they should be held accountable as well. Baird did not make the decision himself ... he made the decision with the support of every Liberal and National Party member in parliament (except the glorious three)
this is what EVERYONE needs to remember come the 2019 state election

don't fall for the "rubbish" new leaders of the Liberals and Nationals will come out with
they don't want us ... we don't want them

I have no idea why her being "left" would have her agreeing with a greyhound ban. I know Labor members in Orange that are so far left they wont shop at any of the big supermarkets, wont deal with the big banks etc etc. They were the first to come out in protest of the ban. The ban meant loss of jobs and peoples livelihoods, the main thing left wing people fight for.

A lefty in the Liberal Party is right of the far right in the Labour Party,NO such individual exists.

The problem is....has there ever been a good and successful female leader in Australia???

By my reckoning....NO!!!

Berejiklian is being heaped with praise for the best treasurer in the land with outstanding ability...for heavens sake, blind freddy could be a great treasurer if you had the money NSW has generated (ripped off) from the public with just the Property STAMP DUTY and the sale of POLES & WIRES alone, so let's not get carried away with this false over blown non event.

Let's see how she performs in the real world commercial kitchen when all the fire & heat is turned up....so far, all her predecessors have failed and fallen by the wayside.

For all oursake, let's hope that she is made of steel and can withstand the pressure, make the hard decisions and reverse some of Bairds looney beaurocratic decisions!

Andrew,

You mentioned Keneally and I responded in kind. The ALP was dead in the water and along came the Election and she was blown out of it ! That's how it went. A big swing to the Coalition.

You now mention Nathan Rees. He had issues such as the Milton Orkopoulos concern and he didn't want to conform to the `Terrigals' even though they put him into the position. The ALP was on shaking ground heading into the water. They soon ousted Rees and put Kristina Keneally in as Premier who once stated that she wasn't anyone's puppet, anyone's girl. She didn't overpower Rees. The Terrigals gave her the chance after ousting Rees, but she was on a `hiding to nothing'. They were all part of the ALP !

It was later revealed some of the MPs were crooked and then, along came the Coalition, with some of them falling into the same trap as their opponents, and some of them forgot things and ICAC made one remember !

I'll keep on writing that the two largest parties don't really care about us. They look after themselves, just like most organisations, and they have short memories. We need to remind them ever four years. I write that we should look at voting for smaller parties who have helped our cause and for them to become aligned with whoever is going to help our organisation, which happens. Therefore, we help those who help us.
.
Otherwise, `Keep Them Out ! Kick Them Out For Good !'

Unfortunately Baird though HE was God, probably still in shock because someone has explained to him he isn't.

I will always wonder with his inside info from his sister/4corners how he was expecting the 4 corners program on the results of the Melb exploits of Charlie Wilson/Animal Aust & Co to go public in Feb to give him the excuse to overturn the overturning of the ban & the whole thing has blown up in their faces with criminal charges & grounds for major civil compensation because Wilson literally let the cat out of the bag.

Charlie Wilson has alleged AA utilised him And AA supplied their Western Australian operative to assist him to put video/ Camera devices in up to 80 Victorian trainers houses & Kennels to gather evidence to supply a 4 Corners segment to be aired in February on our sport. They filmed individuals, women & children in their private homes in all stages of undress etc. Evidence has been supplied to police included, equipment, videos, etc including emails between the three offenders including AA. Up to individual trainers to lodge Criminal complaints of trespass & invasion of privacy & opens the door for civil suits against the three parties for compensation.
This is not on in Australia or should be NOT ON.

Thanks Cyril-had heard the basics but the actual "nitty gritty" of filming inside peoples homes definitely calls for exposure & criminal prosecution.
No doubt Ms Baird would have been a party to these actions at the ABC.
Therefor it would be heresay but not beyond belief to think her brother may have been aware or possibly even party to this criminal act???

Alan Jones worth the Read.

EXTERNAL LINK

Jones, a persistent critic of the outgoing Premier, also questioned Mr Baird's stated reasons for retiring: a number of major health issues affecting his mother, father and sister.

"Across NSW people would say 'What about the families who have been ruined by the greyhound ban [and] gone broke because of the lockout laws?' " he said.

"Michael Baird has cut and run.

"There are thousands of families who are facing those problems. And they've been affected [by government decisions]."

ODE TO OUR POLLIES
I am a federal minister, I've got a top shelf job,
my every need is paid in full, I never spend a bob.
Taxpayer-funded junkets, it's business class for me,
my salary is safely tucked away, my life it's run for free.

Some weekends on the Gold Coast, yes that sounds very nice,
I think we'll buy a unit, a steal at half the price.
Perhaps we'll fly there New Years Eve and see the new year in,
I've got a friend in corporate land, for me it's all win win.

My colleague he's a traveller too, though he prefers the west,
Cable Beach up there in Broome, is where he likes it best.
Finance there is critical to the health of our great nation,
Karratha or Port Hedland? No, not on this vacation.

I am a federal minister, I'm on the public purse,
if I ever have to spend my own, it's quickly reimbursed.
Before I got this top shelf job, I was having trouble saving,
but though I now have loads of cash, a pay rise I am craving.

Life here in the cabinet, is a privilege there's no doubt.
Access to allowances, it's always someone else's shout.
It's not that I'm entitled, I never feel that way.
It's just that here in "pollie land", someone else should pay.
--------------------------------------

The thing that you all must now understand but the politicans either do not know or more probably - do not care about - is that they are NOT elected members of the Commonwealth of Australia.

Instead they are elected members of the Australian Government - a body that we the People of the Commonwealth have never been told is NOT a lawful common law constitutional government - but a corporate administration working - in some as yet unexplained capacity - for the Commonwealth. Not for you and I.

So why are you and I paying these people to tell us what to do?

Well Dan, the real question here is...

" WHY ARE YOU PAYING THEM"?

Me, I am not prepared to take the chances or the consequences, however, if you are right and believe in what you say...

Test them out mate...and in the words of "The Eagless', "TAKE IT TO THE LIMIT"!

The Liberal Party will Be Tossed out at the Next election as I have stated before, Nothing will save this group, The People will never ever forget of what this mob tried to do. Eradicate Peoples Livelihood, because of back room deals with greedy developers.
Baid now is a Distant memory and will go down in history as the worst premier in NSW history !

If what Luke Foley says is correct about Gladys Berejiklian then the powers to be should put one right on her chin so she makes her mind up very quickly about the ban being lifted
