who likes this concept and who dont and why isnt it up and operating it works fine in the trotts and it keeps the animals racing longer and also gives the public a chance to buy a greyhound and get a taste of the industry my thoughts $500 to $1000 and $1000 to $2000 etc your thoughts

Why not? Works well with the horses. Only problem here in Ireland people in charge of the Greyhound industry never heard of a business plan or couldn't be bothered.

It was a great concept at The Gardens that lost momentum. I think it was a fixed price when it should have been a price up to say, $2000 negotiable, determined by the owner.

Considering the dogs that the industry needs to keep racing are worthless giveaways then perhaps the claiming price should be $0 & additional prize money provided to reward the person nominating. Gives owners a chance to pick a free dog & improve it if they can.

Also, I think they were 5th graded races as well. Could've been 4th/5th
Graded.

Jason I love the idea. I know they have them with the harness.

Instead of the ready to race concept they should give this a go. I'm sure more owners would go to the track if they like a dog and they new the dog was for sale at a certain price.
