after having my post removed bagging the genius who liked a thread asking for a phone number, I'd like to put to the Mods, if we could change it from like/dislike to agree/disagree would make more sense..!!

Hi Malcolm, if our members want this we can easily change it. See what comments we get in this thread and what the majority want we will do.
PS. I am not guilty in relation to removing your post.

Maybe we can have multiple choices of buttons...that would be good.
IE:
1. like/dislike button
2. agree/disagree button
3. hammer button
4. uppercut button
5. chainsaw button
6. toilet flush button
7. shovel hitting head with starry eyes button
8. vomit button
9. kiss with tongue button
10. smelly button
I think that would just about cover it.

Tony,
Funny, I was about to write to you about this.
My view is that like/dislike is a waste of space because it allows multiple voting and it is used an alternative to respondents inserting a short piece saying what they think and why, which would promote better discussion. It now has the same effect as surveys using leading questions to better suit someone with an agenda - stuff which is rife today in the community. IE fake news. Results are as useful as the ABC querying its listeners as to whether they think the ABC is the best thing since sliced bread.
Dump it.
Further, G-D says no to abusive comment, yet it occurs all the time. Moderators are not following their own rule book.

I don't know why you are taking dislikes so personally. does it really matter whether they dislike or disagree with your post. I don't see the difference.

Robert if you have a debate ppl can agree or disagree, this like / dislike is ridicules, we had somebody liking a thread where tony was asking for someone's ph number, WTF is there to like about that..??

Funny how the ones who cop the most "dislikes" dislike the "dislike" button. Very strange indeed.
