What a terrific performance from Dorotas Del Mar (120) to win the Gabriel Brown Memorial Open 400 last night in a blistering 21.19 He is from arguably one of the best litters we have ever seen which includes Dorotas Vic (132), Dorotas Wildcat (137), Dorotas Woo Hoo (133), Blakes Daneel (114), Forest Con (129) and Forest Natalee (151).
It's fitting that this quality of hound is now associated with the Gabriel Brown Memorial 400. Gabriel was a trusted friend who showed sincere concern for others and always offered support when it was needed. I personally have missed him greatly in the last year as there have been many issues within our industry that I would have liked to discuss with him, but I take comfort in knowing that his reply would likely have been the same as always; choose the option that is best for our industry.
Gabriel is never far from the thoughts of his Greyhound Data colleagues. Very sadly missed.
Had a great night in Dundalk last night and it was lovely to meet up with Gabriel's family and friends.
Congratulations to owners David Usher and Kevin Hutton and trainer Martin Lanney, who's charge Dorotas Del Mar won Gabriel's race in some style from a quality field. In doing so, he definietly threw down a marker for the upcoming Bar One Racing Irish Sprint Cup.
Gabriel is sadly missed.

It was a great night and a fantastic turnout by Gabriel's family and friends. I would like to thank the track for their professionalism in every aspect of the night.
A big thank also to Gabriel's family for allowing me the pleasure of staying with them on Friday and Saturday. The hospitality was unbelievable and as soon as you walk through the door you immediately know how close and special the Brown family are.
It was good to talk and share all the fond memories and experiences we had with Gabriel. I hope to see you all again next year and thank you again.
