Final draw is:

1. Ballyanne Sim (Confident Rankin x Freedom Shadow)
2. Magical Bale (Zero Ten x Sizzling Sarah)
3. Slippy Cian (Crash x Global Liberty)
4. Clonbrien Hero (Razldazl Jayfkay x Trout or Salmon)
5. Jaytee Taylor (Laughill Blake x Toms Delight)
6. Clona Blaze (Laughill Blake x Coolavanny Pearl)

A perfect final with 2 railers, 2 Middle seeds & 2 wides.

Its pretty wide open & anything can win it, if none of the front runners get clear whoever wins the battle to bend 3 might well be vunerable to the fast finishing Cian & Taylor on the run in.
Some good judges are suggesting that Cian will have plenty of space on the run up with Bale going rails & Hero probably edging right to the bend.

Hello Francis, the following is one of the conditions of the ante post betting on the Irish Greyhound Derby 2018 : This market will be suspended with all unmatched bets cancelled, before the start of each round. This Ante-Post market will be suspended finally at 10pm the day before the final. So no need to worry as the rule states the ante post betting is suspended from 10 pm the day before the final. You will see on Betfair that an individual market is now open for each race tonight at Shelbourne Park , so all is good !!!!!!!!!!

Who were/are these "good" judges Alex?
The winner secured the rails early ran some race and nothing could touch it. Well done to all concerned.

Keith from what I saw the 'good' judges were right but Sim held Bail off to the corner & as happened nearly all night whoever led at bend 1 won.

As I said 'Its pretty wide open & anything can win it'

Great to see a cheap sales purchase winning a big one.

I thought it was as good a final winning performance as I've seen. The winner had a plum draw, agreed, but he improved - he was still ahead at the pick up - and showed real guts and pace in a race that was almost entirely trouble free with no hard luck stories at all. Very impressive for me.
