No way dolly Mac is just a 14 day stand down for a shoulder injury. That says its a small tear, it has to be a broken shoulder or stopper I think it will be a stopper because she didn't get a big enough hit to break a shoulder.
Either way a trip to el grand senor looks likely.

Mick,
3 went amiss in running. 3 were checked - own fault 1 got snagged by dog moving up behind it 1 got squeezed at the start - fell.
Nothing to see here.
Enormous run by Poke the Bear.
Never bet odds on or run up stairs. 5 of 12 were odds-on, only 2 won, including a lucky Poke the Bear (horrible jump).

Shane,
After multiple reviews (R3, R4, R5) there is not a lot more to be said. Every incident was due to either an accidental/incidental clash of no great proportions or to the dog overreaching itself when trying to make up ground and incurring a soft tissue injury. Happens every day.
Some occurred as they moved into the back straight but that also is normal as the field sorts itself out after rounding the turn (where greater strains are put on bodies). And Dolly Mac was just a fluke accident.
I am no great fan of the Meadows layout but that's another subject. On this question the only thing you might want to query is the camber on the first turn but there is no particular evidence that tells us it was anything out of the ordinary.

More - in the Silver Chief heats last night at Meadows.
6 of 8 favourites started at evens or worse - 2 Won, 4 Lost.
Winners either LAW or railed underneath the interference at the first turn. Interference was plentiful. Two dogs fell.
All but one fav was better priced on F/O but, wherever you go, the value is poor. Often, longer priced runners pay better on the Tote.
(Is Rio Brave a typo? The Argentinian river is Rio Bravo).

Rio brave is a very talented dog from Queensland that went around unbelievable overs because no one (myself included) thought he could beat the quality he was up against last night having a first look at the track
