Hi Tony nice to speak with you. Yes I fully agree with most of what you say and there certainly needs most urgently a Greyhound Welfare Centre set up with records from birth to death, but as you are almost aware that is the case in the uk and here in Ireland but still there are those who abuse it,. There are a lot of good Chinese who only want the best for the dogs. Tony I wish you all the luck on your journey to get this sorted.

Thanks Carole, the gambling people and gambling tracks in China breaking the law are a big worry for us and for all adoption people worldwide. No one has all the answers each has to do the best they can.

Quote "Hi Tony I hope you went to Baicheng meat market main land China there you would have seen various dogs waiting to be slaughtered but more concerning the large number of greyhounds ending up in these places. Greyhounds are the most sort after in the meat trade for the muscle. There are numerous good Chinese people risking their lives to save these animals. Kerry Lawrence who runs Candy Cane for the sole purpose of such action is now in main land China along with her Chinese friends who run safe Kennels for these dogs before they are found good homes in other parts of the world. If greyhounds are raced etc in China, what happens to them once they are no longer useful is it the meat market all this has to be considered".

Did your nose grow much after repeating lies Carole ?

Tony
Great to hear something positive. I think there is huge potential there and the non gambling might be a godsend IF the authorities would fund it as an employment generator and not be dependant on the gambling buck. If the industry is geared to fun night out and somewhere to go with reward linked into winning greyhounds etc then the sky is the limit for what can be done there. I spent some time in China and it is a huge market but as it can be free from traditional gambling and all the problems that creates a new modle could be created. I had been invited to look at some stadium design opportunities that came to nothing at the time but your initative seems more positive and perhaps a new road to a sustainable industry.
Gopod luck Tony
but stay clear of any gambling as it will never be accepted there, tolerated in a mild way for a while then wiped out with a new crackdown.

Thanks for your help and support Seamus. We are creating our rules for racing from the German and Swedish Kennel Clubs. I have been involved in racing in mainland Europe for over 20 years and it is a system that really works.

Hi Simon, at the top of the top right of the menu bar you will see a British flag, if you click on it all should be back to normal.
