2nd No. 14 Vow and Declare 2.90 + 3.00 = 5.90
3rd No. 2 Mirage Dancer 5.10 + 1.00 = 6.10
Sub No. 11 Constantinople

2 players got subs Pastor Bool in the Cup for Avillius went a week early there Pastor old boy he's a Cox Plater and King Jack who must of thought Wenty is always on a Saturday Night. Interesting week with controversy over the spelling of the Caulfield Cup winner thanks to Dr Huss who farked it up first with Glance (it's not cricket you nong). We had contributions posted of it's french name into English. Vanderbilt was right with Mer de as "Shit" and Tor was cloase with Yoguart with Glace as "Ice Cream"so put them together and you get "Shit Ice Cream" in English but no the quirky french language gives us "Sea Ice" and it was a Japanese horse and they those Japs are serving us up another one next week in the Cox Plate in Meeting 7 the only race up for grabs. Traditionally it was the Meadows Top Gun Night but the club in its wisdom has put it back a fortnite to accomodate the MDC runners. - The Convener BTW no bonus point to King Jack for placing an acute " ` " over the "e" in his tip Mer de Glace. Note next week I will accept Lys Gracieux or Graceful Lilies as I know Dr Huss will play up and give me the shites again.

4. King Jack Ogilvie - 5.00 + 5.20 + 15.80 = 26.00
4. "Tiger" Tor Janes - 5.00 + 5.20 + 15.80 = 26.00

7. Terry "Dr Huss" Jordan - 4.80 + 5.20 + 15.80 = 25.80
8. Malcolm Lean "Pickings" - 5.00 + 2.90 + 16.20 = 24.10

gr8 effort Jack, that takes some doing in an open race like that.

btw Pete the Vanderbilts deny making any such comment, it was made by a mug Maybloom supporter, and just a side note that a $1.90 will never equal a $1 nor will $1 ever equal $2.90 that's not how one builds an empire.

Sorry about that Vanders your right it was that apple munching bastid from Van Demons Land with the shit icecream post. I was scared to go back and look as I didn't want to loose all the work I had done on the screen with the tallies etc. I had had bits of paper coming out my arse what with this comp and the MSQ to do as well. If the bastard of Ettrick Huss Jordan hadn't caused the confusion in the 1st place all would of been fine. Well to post again it gives me a chance to log the leader in the Greyhound Comp in case I loose that bit of paper.

King Jacks 2 bottles of Black Tar for dogs to drink Greyhound Section ladder:

1- Quassie Bell 11.60 pts
2- Macwollie 4.80 pts
2- Bat Masterson 4.80 pts
2- Lazza 4.80 pts
5- The Vanderbilts 2.90 pts
5- Pastor Bool 2.90 pts
5- Not the PAW 2.90 pts
5- Lean Pickings 2.90 pts
5- Plenty Moore 2.90 pts

I may have miscounted my Boags (not apples) intake before posting that and as a major sponsor I will en-devour to portray myself in a better light. Currently "Not The" is on track to win US$ 68.50 the Wheeler Dealer from The U-S of A is showing us up. I did stipulate $100 AUS (I hope lol)

Does make it tough Simon the Likeable with the International flavor this comp has attracted. We have Tor's Bunnings $50 is now a $35 Lowe's card, I'm up for a $35 Starbucks card, King Jack's safe his Black Tar wouldn't get past customs but spare a thought for poor old Gerhard Shoether, he'll be up for 12 months membership @ Churchill Downs, according to their website anywhere between US$5,600.00 - $6,500.00 per annum, he might have to flog off one of those Fernando Bale pups currently at the breakers. If that hillbilly Doctor Huss was any sort of mate he could kick in a couple of bottles of his finest Moonshine to save Gerhard's arse on the hope "Not the PAW" doesn't reside in Keenland, Kentucky or close by. - The Convener

WTF? Where is Dr. Huss?
Remember, last placing! a weekend of "Free Tuition" (picking up dog shite) at sunny "Ettrick" only 1hr 15min from the Gold Coast.

I hope Not the PAW, comes from "Bayou Country" as he will feel right at home. With the Duelling Banjo's, Moonshine, & Squealing pigs. I know the basket case from Van Demons land would!

Who doesn't like a good christening?

Mer De Glace was the biggest certainty since Taufans Melody won it back in 1998.

Taufans Melody a certainty back in 1998! Simon was it a certainty, before or After it knocked a few over the fence? Cockrane the Jockey should have got life! The race taken of "Lady Herries"?
Political Diplomacy went into overdrive. What a blight on Aust Racing.

Hey Simon, I was at a Club in Canberra that arvo (Sthn.Cross Club in Tuggeranong) When a mob on the table next to us got the trifecta They boxed 8. After one look at the replay they tried to flog the winning ticket at Face Value! NO TAKERS!

BTW I'll expect an invite to your next Christening. Tezza oink oink

Times don't lie MDG was a standout (2000m) the only risk was the 2400m but blew them away.

Back in the day 1998 I think TM last run before leaving to AUS was an identical time to might and powers track record time over the same distance.

I was having a gap year, living with mates in Adelaide broke and certain it was going to win I would of pawned my sultana for 50/ew but could only manage to borrow a 20 after I had my last 10 ew on it. My 3 other housemates chucked in 20 so we agreed to have 40ew on it went down to pub to punt it. Watched the race and thought I'd won lotto only to find out my housemate saw how much it was paying and secretly put 80 the place.

I did tell my old man to back it who didn't but he told his next door neighbor to get on which he did and my old man cursed me for the next ten years because the neighbor kept asking if his son had phoned with any tips lol.

I think it was $55/1 from memory

Pretty sure the times in Japan are much faster than in Aus for the same distance. Randwick times too I think are a little faster than the norm. Some tracks just are. I wld imagine there wld be an adjustment to be made in those times to make them comparative. Of course even after that adjustment it may still have been the fastest horse, so you may have been right even if it was by pure fluke. lol.

I can still remember the Stewards stating that Chris Munce's mount run had ended when he was decked. What rubbish! That same horse came out 18 day later and won the Melb Cup, JEZABEEL!!

Feel free to ring me Simon if you have another one! (Horse)

I was told it was to arrive about 2 weeks ago late Sept, but it might require a name change as there was a Rockabill running in Aust in 2013/14, as for Unshackled it ran 4th just the other day but Bern got out of that one, a BM58 horse said Bern so I'm out. Bernard always aimed high. Further news and similarities with Taufin's Melody and Mer De Glance, both knocked rotten horses when going to the front in the cup 300m out, both had the cricket angle with Huss and his Leg Glance naming of Mer de and Lady Herries Taufin's trainer the wife of English cricketer Colin Kipper Cowdrey. - The Convener

So if History is to repeat Jezzabeel and Champagne 1998 cup Quin
Taufins ones in Cup he knocked out, what odds Vow and Declare and Constantinople quin this year?
