Terrence, I was there last week remember and the way Campini railed inside Shimma Shine up the back straight and then put him away impressed me plus I'm banking on carnage on the first turn to break a bottle of Glenfiddich as for Tornado (Batman) not running the times he used to but has a 90% winning strike rate at Sandown, gutsy win last week and would love to see him win and stick it up Brucey's Boys bum. - Macwollie

I initially was going to select a greyhound other than HOS to win the Cup- until the draw was posted and I revisited a past HOS race.I knew I should be concerned with the poor history of the 8 box and the dismal performance of favorites in the Cup. The talented 4 inside racers all have a valid claim to be the winner of the race based on past performances.

I went back to the October 31 race where Feral Franky beat HOS with
a 29.08 run. From the 4 box HOS was hit out of the box hard by the 6, bounced off him to be pinched by the 367, bumped again after the turn, began his drive ran into slower traffic by the 1 and 7 , was shuffled back, still he drove wide and closed .693 on Franky who was running free on the rail home in 10.36.

That's all it took to beat HOS a 29.08 run with multiple bumps, two pinches, and slower traffic impeding him. I believe the 8 box will keep this midtrack racer out of danger - if he squares at the turn -watch out -his 10.32 run home looks good against Riots 10.82 , Campini 10.60 heat of last week.

Terry

Just an average guy with a long history
Of losing. I could have told you I thought
the name Hooked On Scotch was cool.

When we owned Kinda Cruel Red and he ran a
29.15 in the semi final the trainer told us only slow traffic ahead of him could beat him.Sure enough he was cut off early
out of the box in the final and his brilliant speed
was useless.

mine was of sheer annoyance when the reserves got a start and impeded possibly my biggest bet of the yr on 'not the paws' but Terrys FB.....I had to blame someone and your alter ego was the obvious choice, so stop your whining esp if I have to watch it win at black prices without so much as a brass razoo riding on it.

Very well done Peter ..showing us how it is done.

I just woke up over in the states and watched Riot's
Outstanding effort. Envoy surprised me.

I thought Boom would give an honest effort and some
contest points. I thought something different was going
To happen perhaps Terms winning. I lost picking Tears
earlier lost the contest not staying with the champ.

Congrats to our well deserving winner. I think we all
Did the contest namesake proud. Thank you for the opportunity
to compete i had a blast going against such a talented group.
