THE MEADOWS - SATURDAY, 28 DECEMBER 2019
Race 1
Stewards withheld the 'all clear' to view the official video films after a member of the public entered the course proper approaching the second turn. After viewing the footage, Stewards were of the view that no greyhound had been affected and 'all clear' was declared on the placings 1-6-2-8.

No Idea Tony ..At the very least a life time ban from all racing tracks would be more than suitable.

It would be interesting to find out why he did it. Was he an anti racing person and can we expect more of this? or was he just an idiot?

Its a disgraceful and dangerous act

If the guy was an anti...it really shows their blatant disregard for the welfare of the greyhounds that they are supposedly trying to protect

If the dog had hit him at that speed it could have been disastrous and painful and possibly fatal result for the dog...as for the fool any injury to him would have been an improvement

If this true & accurate, the first thing GRV may need to do is to change their "security company",they should have held him until the arsehole was arrested for being on the track unlawfully & charged with reckless endargerment to greyhound's & dare i say to himself & possibly others, remembering that only registered persons are the only ones who have that right & privage.( As far as the local police go,well..thats an absolute joke, yeah maybe they were busy, but they are employed to protect & uphold the law ie;illegal trespassing
is unlawful...isn't it ??,)

So lets say, his imbecile had stepped another bodies length onto the track from where he was originally standing & a dog hit him at 65 kilometres an hour.

Imbecile - Breaks 2 legs and ruptures 2 scotums which destroys his manhood (not that he had any to begin with).

Dog 1 - Breaks neck after colliding with imbeciles groin and gets humanely destroyed on track.

Dog 2 - Breaks leg trying to avoid the impbeciles head as he falls to the ground, screaming like a girl.

---------------------------------------------------

So that happens in this scenario. Would -

Both trainer prosecutes the imbecile?

Registered racetrack prosecutes the imbecile?

Imbecile puts claim in? For what?

WHAT WOULD HAPPEN? SERIOUSLY.....Because this could have easierly been the outcome to this stupid individuals decision to protest.

This idiocies has got to stop.

Its time out GOVERNMENT starts listening to THE MAJORITY, & not the MINORITY.

Throw them in the slammer for 30 days and record the conviction instead of giving them a chance. Fcuken sick of it.

--------------------------------------------------

Now I'm talking general.....The National & Federal Governments need to run a 6 month advertising campaign stating we're had enough. NO MORE CHANCES. IF YOU BREAK THE RULES OF CIVIL SOCIETY, IN THE SLAMMER YOU GO. Its the right thing to do.

Excellent Dale, quite possibly their correct acronym!

I agree Steven, like a lot of laws, some are rarely implemented or enforced and when they are the penalty(ies) are way too soft or non existent, and others, far too over-regulated and the punishment too severe ...in this instance, in my opinion, like yourself, definitely the former!

OK. If this has been announced, then I would hope to see another group of people who are ready to debate the pros and cons of greyhound racing.
Not predicting anything, but these debates can sometimes get a bit messy.

Reading through I don't recall anyone using the words anarchy or anarchists.

AGRO are effectively terrorists by endangering the lives of racing animals they purport to protect. Aren't they saying ,by their actions we will impose our will on all that disagree with their "cause"? We will physically impede and endanger race meetings because we are so virtuous.

Vic greyhound appointees (govt) should have immediately liased with police top brass to have them enforce the laws.It appears they (Govt racing officialdom ) don't hesitate to enforce their "powers" on participants ? Yet they shy away from a responsibility they have to protect all animals and attendees at race meetings.

The AGRO organization should be investigated by police in the first instance and if they've no stomach for it GRA.

Failing that some ambitious investigative journalist may be persuaded to "dig the dirt" on these law breakers. By threatening to cause trouble/disrupt their target assembling with illegal activities planned shouldn't charges of affray should be laid each time ?.

Greyhound participants are under incredibly high levels of legal requirements to race their animals and do so legally.

If ,for instance ,if I went with a group of people to a library and tore random pages out of the books (because I knew books were evil) I feel certain their would be legal repercussions .

If their has been any action taken against these terrorists I apologise to the relevant authority who did their job but it wasn't forthcoming immediately as has been outlined.

Heads should roll in Victorian greyhound regulatory authorities for not doing their jobs.

Fish for one fowl the other doesn't cut it in legal matters I believe it is called discrimination.

AGRO number how many?
Greyhound enthusiasts and associated businesses families friends would surely outnumber these urban terrorists ?
Baird thought doggy people were an easy mark but he certainly learnt his lesson with the loss of the state seat around Orange.
Australia is still a democracy not like something out of Mad Max. Use your democratic majority to bring pressure to bare on the govt of the day in Victoria. They deserve it.
