Also any new participant or basically anybody under the age of 40 pretty much uses facebook for everything now. It's much easier and accessible on mobile and on the go. You get notifications when people reply and you can see what they're really like (through their profile)

I have been doing the publishing on Data Facebook for over 5 years solid so i do understand how Social media has changed but to bag out every Member who posts here on GD forum is kind of pathetic when you think about it .

Our Members and what they have to say is importent current and interesting either you like it or you dont ..

Everyone would get on there including ALL the big names....but behind avatars.

It didn't take long to work out "Who was Who" if you were a hard-core member. Everyone use to ACT responsibly and post accordingly. It was great. Repect was the key and why everyone would come on every night without fail.

Then G-Data came on board, originally with just PEDIGREES to kick off the web-site. It was state-of-the-art & something that put PEDIGREES at everyone finger-tips within seconds. it was brilliant and still is today.

Around 4 years later G-Data introduced a forum which was free and EVERYONE came on board. The only difference between the 2 "Forums" was on G-Data you couldn't hide behind an "ALIAS" and after about 18 months Global-Greyhounds died.

Greyhound-Data kick off in the same fashion as Global-Greyhounds....but better as you couldn't hide behind that FAKE name & were responsible for your actions. For example......I can recall a certain sire by Token Prince who had the world at his feet after breaking 3 track records & winning a Group race being totally destroyed as he attempted to join the sires-ranks, by a certain young person who was "Wet-behind-the-ears". I'll leave it at that.

Due to the change of having to nominate 'WHO-YOU-WERE" eliminated all the "Sh1t-Stirring" & "NAME-CALLING"...which was starting to happen on other existing sites (and still does as we notice on a daily bais today). G-Data became a forum-site that aloud those to have a say, especially if you had a responsible attitude. Those that couldn't help themselves had their post removed.

Then FACEBOOK (not G-data. I'm talking about the real deal) was launched in Feb 2004 & within a couple of years had gone feral as we know it today. Those that had an attitude had found another avenue to POST without fear of their replies being removed.

10 years later we have what we see today. A youth where MOST don't NO the meaning of respect.....because they DON'T NO ANY DIFFERENT. I don't blame them as it's simply evolution taking place.....BUT I CAN'T HELP BUT NOTICE IT.

Maybe at the age of 52 I'm one of those fossils that Luke talks about. I like to think I'm not but maybe as a figure who can open the eyes of others so we can all go forward together.

I agree with you Kevin here , even though I do not agree with all your posts. It reminds me of Harry Trueman president of USA who was called Givem Hell Harry. When questioned about the nickname he replied I never give anyone hell I just tell the truth and they think it's hell.

The whole point of a forum is for everyone is able to have an opinion and the rest of us can choose to learn from the ones we choose.
I have posted on here on a number of subjects and the most common
comment I have had is I 'll bet he is an anti. I try to be factual and not offensive and if possible humerous and would be the first to admit that some of what I post is possibly wrong. It is just my opinion.

One of the subjects I often opinion on is the import of Aus dogs to NZ. I hear that is so popular now that even the Australian born prisoners are asking to be deported to NZ.

If the most common response to your comments is "I bet he's an anti" then it could be worthwhile for you to review your comments before printing them.
For every action there is a reaction, so whatever you are writing might be the cause of the reaction, not the person perhaps?

In regards to the prisoners, I've heard the same.
