The Zoom Top (725m) at The Meadows on Saturday escaped much comment in the media although it offered a good spectacle. Interference was low and times were not bad the ever-consistent Just Terms taking it out in a smart 42.12 and now having $234k in the bank. It has been in the money at 34 of its 44 starts.
Following the scratching of Tornado Tears, new favourite Heres Tears competed for the lead with True Detective but both were found wanting in the run home. Head and head racing can do that. Heres Tears run was the equivalent of seven lengths slower than its record run at Sandown at its previous start.
Boom Down and reserve Annie Lava did poorly but were the only runners coming off a one week break (the rest had two weeks) but it is now a chicken and egg situation whether that was due to the backup from demanding races or to the injuries discovered post-race. Or maybe both?

Bruce you need to get your head checked, the race was super - a few went a miss but the new kid on the block took it to them all early to then be run down by a super bitch just terms in a flying 42.12, only 1 dog has gone quicker in the last 5 years and thats the number 1 stayer - tornado tears. Most of the time the first 3 over the line would win a group race with the times they ran.

Thankyou Tom - I think we are both saying it was a fine win by Just Terms.

Tornado Victory isn't defined by wins or losses as a Trainer .. It is defined by effort. If you can truthfully say, 'the dog did the best It could, The dog gave everything It had then you're a winner as a Trainer and the dogs a winner.
