The use of Virkon S around your kennels and yards as well as washing bowls etc will be of great benefit IMO. It is a brilliant disinfectant that kills many strains of viruses, bacteria and fungi in a very short time(10min) including kennel cough, salmonella, parvovirus and the list goes on. I have used it for many years on my racing pigeons and greyhounds with great results. It is used extensively in agriculture and is safe for all animals. It can be added to drinking water at 1g per litre of water to kill bacteria and viruses on the inside however a probiotic must be used afterwards to reinstate the good gut bacteria as it kills that as well which doesnt affect the animal over a short period. The fact that it works so quickly is of great importance as the kennel floors do not dry off before its done the job unlike other disinfectants. Dont believe me than google it but please talk to your vet because that I aint but I have enjoyed the benefits and saved many sick birds over the years. Cheers

Neither would win an Academy Award.

What's not said is the big worry...

I'll leave it at that.
