Hi Marytn, Yes the team answer around 100 emails a day. I have just searched the team email [email protected] my email [email protected] and the spam folder but cannot find any emails from you except for one from 2014 Date: Thu, Jul 24, 2014 at 7:26 AM about verification.
I am not sure what is happening. Can you please try emailing me [email protected] and post in this thread that you have sent it. I will answer you or will post if it has not arrived. We can then hopefully find the problem.
I am sorry you are having a problem reaching us.

Sorry Martyn, just realised you are talking about messages, who are you messaging?
Please message me. When you send a message it may be to the right or wrong person who can handle the problem or help. Also most team members are not full time on the website of may be in different time zones. This is why a general email to [email protected] is always the best way of communication as then any team members that are online and know how to help will. If they cannot help they will forward the email onto someone that can.

That's not good to read, Martyn. Sorry if I was one of those. It seems of late that the whole dynamics of the forum have drastically changed which breeds discontent, angst and negativity.
Having had several discussions with Tony recently I can assure you he is a genuinely decent man. Some may think he is a "protector" of certain people on here...he definitely isn't. I guess he is caught between s rock and a hard place with trying to be diplomatic.
I also don't think GD is a lucrative business either, more a labour of love from what I can gather, so losing memberships hurt, especially under these circumstances. Unfortunately Martyn, you are not alone as several people have told me they aren't renewing their memberships for the same reason. I find that to be a terrible shame.
It's a great site and the forum can be a great source of info and discussion between genuine Owners, Breeders and Trainers.
I know how you feel because I feel the same. Rest assured nothing lasts forever, if you know what I mean... Again, I hope I'm not part of the reason as sometimes my passion and protective nature for the industry gets the better of me.
I hope you reconsider.
Stay safe.

We dont always have to agree with a post its your choice to read it discuss it post about it ...
We cannot ban people for posting content onto the forum its not the way it works and everyone has the right of reply .
You have the right to report the post and you have the right to not read any content that person may post .
We cannot start to censor people because they have a different point of view
Trustworthy content has a balanced point of view. It asks and answers the right questions. It doesnt love itself. It tries to inform and educate some get it right some get it wrong ..Thats Social media .

Kev, Democracy, freedom of choice, freedom of speech are what we are lucky enough to enjoy. Within each of those lies dangers, subject to manipulation and abuse.
Its up to each individual, Govt, industry or whatever to decide whether certain things need refining to protect one's business or interest.
Decisions like this are made every day. Sometimes the stew just doesn't work out...or a fly decides to swim in it.
Just to make something clear...I'm not trying to tell anyone how to run a business...that's their call, and their call only.
I've commented on how sad I think losing members is under these circumstances.
That's it.

Rather than loosing the benefits of membership because of the forum (apparently ?) there is another very simple option of not looking at the posts . Or perhaps that isn't dramatic enough ?

I can't help but notice, 4 minutes before Martyn opened this thread, his last post was on the thread called "A different future is facing us", started by Bruce Teague.
Martyn Empson wrote:
more doom and gloom thanks for input mr teague thats what we all want to hear
I can understand if you want to pull-the-pin Marty, but it's not Data's fault. Everyone is untiled to an opinion as long as they don't step over the line.
It goes back to the old saying, "Just because somebody is in the room, doesn't mean you have to talk to them".
Take care mate. Steve

Fair enough comment, Vincent and that theory is stated at least twice a week on here, probably more. The reality is the theory doesn't work in reality.
I can't speak for Martyn or the others who have chosen not to renew. That's their choice for their reasons.
What I do know is that Greyhound people in Oz and in all other places where Greyhounds are trained, put in many hours and spend a lot of money enjoying their passion, so they tend to be a tad resentful when negative and undermining comments permeate with monotonous regularity.
Something has to give...
Unfortunately, it seems like it has.

MG I would be a hypocrite if i said Brucey was not entitled to his free speech on a free forum this forum is open to anyone at anytime regardless of there views some agree some don't ..
Some hate my posts and at times i do go over board but thats my right its my voice its my comments and i do feel Bruce has the right to post what he wants ..
I don't agree with Bruce on a lot of topics but i dont read to much into his diatribe and you all should ignore or challenge him and this is 100% up to you what you decide ..
The beauty of the beast is that Bruce keeps us all entertained ...
I look at a lot of the so called Greyhound scripts and journalist today many are full of shit like Bruce so many like to add there own spin just like bruce does ..
