Pestana's litter is primarily and intensely linebred in the x path to Miss Gorgeous through full blood relations Rooster Cogburn(in Flying Pensky's pedigree) and Sand Man (in Kinloch Brae's pedigree). Noticed this happen a few times lately to be a coincidence.
The xy angle to New Tears generally produces real speed dogs too and this case appears to be no exception there.
btw I thought Brett Lee was the first.

Love those "experts" that tell you how well bred a dog is after it becomes a champion. Been happening on G-D since it first opened. Never fails to give me a chuckle. Keep up the great work fellas

Ryan,
The post heading is indeed incorrect; sorry Kevin, pedantic I know, but incorrect nonetheless - not 'in History', just 'in Ireland'.
To quote Ian Fortune (commentator)..."We've seen the record broken, the first greyhound ever to break 29 seconds for 550 yards in Ireland - Pestana, sensational!"

I hope you're not telling me there are breeding formulas Kevin...
And here I was thinking it was purely good luck.

I've found that luck is quite predictable. If you want more luck, take more chances.
Breeding a fast Greyhound takes luck patience and Money

He has a great draw In the quarter final.
He is in T5, he is well proven there.
He has the tightest railing Open Class dog in Ireland in Trap 4
He has 20 spots on the split on Ballymac Cooper in Trap 6

I missed that there was a 29.11 winner in earlier heat! But happy with my 16/1 antepost voucher!

Yep as big a superstar in Newinn Taylor - 3.33 / 16.79 / 29.11
Pestana did 3.32 / 16.90 / 29.15
The main difference is needing Pestana to draw poorly (as he did last night and again in the 1/4s) for Taylor to capitalise. As Taylor is a wide seed and wont dominate Pestana from an inside draw of T1 or T2 (16.83 to 3rd bend).
Should they both cut at each other Ballymac Wild is the most adaptable to run over the top of them. This could be some final if they all get through!!
