I can only echo your views on what a great site this is and massive thanks to Gunnar, Anja and Gwen for creating it.
As a racing owner and now rehomer I wish more in the sport, but also in the adoption community, used it as the PR it can be to show how many of these wonderful athletes are loved and cared for all the way from cradle to grave.
Tony and Dick, I have no idea re. the counter. In the early years, I would not have known if a counter was in place, nor did I keep count for myself. It was years later when I saw everybody's numbers, WOW - and yes, we're all in this together! For me. it's been a joy and a privilege to be a part of the Greyhound Data Team!

Yes, Congratulations Tony & all those that kicked off the site some 20 years ago. Back then it was just a Pedigree Site with the forum thrown in a couple of years later. Great times. Great site & Great relationships have been formed.

20 years, where have they gone?
I remember the beginning when the database was not yet written in php.
I created an access file to enter races and pedigrees. This file was sent on floppy disk to Gunnar who uploaded it to the server. Eventually these files became too big and the "new" Greyhound Data was born as PHP database.
Oh man, those were the days. There was no counter to think of yet.

G'day Rich, Thanks for your'e kind words & your'e very generous & admirable gesture to give your'e membership to someone else,you are are a very decent fella. Rather than give it to someone,maybe it could be auctioned off,& the proceeds donated to a charity or greyhound adoption group of your'e choice ?.Just a thought Rich.
Richard's gesture is just one of the many,many reasons that make Greyhound Data such a wonderful site for all of us " Dish Licker "fans, & dare I say,tragics,lol.

Hi Werner, good to see you are on the mend.
Werner is our Database Manager and has been with GD from the beginning and if look under his name you will see Races 1795553. That is the number of race results Werner has entered onto Greyhound-Data, just under 2 million!!!. (Probably a lot more as the counter did not exist at the start of the website). A fantastic achievement mate, its been great working with you over the years.

I can't imagine putting in almost 1.8 million races. That is quite a feat and I hope you keep it going. Thanks for all your time and patience in doing this.
