Please remember and honour the service and sacrifice of those who have served our nation.

They shall grow not old,

As we that are left grow old,

Age shall not weary them,

Nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun,

And in the morning

We will remember them.

Lest we forget

The dawn service at the Currumbin RSL in QLD was brilliant and very moving. I would like to thank the club and all involved for all their hard work, well done.

It was also great to see on the news the streets lighting up with candles and people gathering outside their homes to remember all those who came before us and gave their lives so that we could have better lives today.

My father fought in the 1st world war and Anzac Day became his most important day of the year as he would meet with old comrades and get on the piss with them.He never mentioned the bad things that happened only the good or funny times. One thing that always stuck with me during my life was the mateship between his war mates and especially with his brothers who also fought.Lest We Forget
