Congratulations to Tony and his team for adding this new section to the classifieds
Certainly a move in the right direction, especially for those who are looking for free dogs for what ever reason.
I hope people utilise this option so as not to continue cluttering up the for sale section.
Well done Tony

Brilliant idea to segregate the classifieds

My only other suggestion is in the LITTERS/PUPS FOR SALE, in addition to the SIRE filter, it would be good to be able to filter by PRICE, as you can do in DOGS FOR SALE

That way people can look for what pups there are in their own particular budget

And hopefully you can restrict people from putting the same ad in multiple categories.
While I'm in a whinging mood, ads should be deleted as soon as pups, dogs, etc are sold.

Agree.
I would also add 'first win' dogs in this category.

Hi Tony, our IT are currently working on a system that will allow admin to move any adverts from each other section when the dog/pup/Broodbitch is a giveaway.

We are also working on including a Category field on the form to add a dog into the giveaways. It will be a dropdown box with the following choices:

Race Dogs
Broodbitches
Pups
Stud Dogs

Once this is completed, we will be able to put a filter so that anyone looking for a giveaway can find the category they are looking for quickly.

In the Catagory " Fast Break-ins For Sale " there are giveaways not up to owners standard ?

Haha, yeah I just saw that too Robynne.
Great category to have though, even if only 1 of the 4 is fast

Go with Ebay style of rating of feedback to at least give future buyers a heads up of who is lying through their teeth to offload broken or hopeless dogs.

Someone might think twice about buying a dog with a (67% Positive Feedback) rating and comments.

I've bought numerous dogs on here trusting people on their word and there hasn't been one without an undisclosed issue or problem including one basket case that has continued to haunt me.

These people need to be held accountable and having a comment section on sales just like they do on Ebay might slow them up on cashing in on selling GAP dogs.

Is it possible to have the Giveaways formatted the same as the Dogs for sale pages? (and not like the puppies). Hard to identify a lot of the dogs and no names given on a lot of ads in the giveaway section.

Hi Greg, any race dogs entered onto the giveaway section has an option for the race name. All adverts moved from other sections by admin will not have this nor will they show in a category search. We are hoping for our members will start adding them directly into the giveaway section as this is the only way it can work.

Gee there are some poorly written ads on here lately...

Several brood bitch deal ads don't even have names of the brood. No headings either!

Other people are waffling on about two or three dogs in ads where you don't even know what dog they are giving away.

Hey Tony, just like to mention that the new price function is a great idea however it doesnt seem to be working correctly. Im having dogs of $7000 in the $1-$2500 section and vice versa. Just letting you know thanks, Mitch

Hi Mitch, thanks for letting us know. We are aware that when members advertise and put 7k instead of 7,000 the search box doesn't pick it up.

I see the problem. Members are putting in the price as 1 x 7000 and 1 x 10000. The search is picking up the number 1. Unfortunately, there is not a lot we can do about this. If we restrict the adverts to numbers only members cannot put up 2000 for dogs and 1500 for bitches etc.
