Its amazing I read the On The Spot personality profile every week in the Sporting Press and on the question of what would you do if you were the new chief ex of the Igb....Nobody has ever said drive the Drug cheats out of the game to bring back the real doggie people to the sport....

I also see that 95 members have not renewed their supporters club membership in Waterford...maybe if dogs were properly graded and the drugs issue was dealt with and not allowing novices in with pure graders...and deal with the 2 seconds time finders that bearly doing qualifying and can then break the 29 secs in first race and appear on GD for sale next day...more confidence and trust can be rebuilt in OUR game

Well Paul, personally I would say that the time for big changes to be made is now ,with all the hype surrounding the positive samples and certain trainers finding serious time . The rules have to change or the igb will be left looking like total fools , When can we expect the positive samples to be published, surely this is a no brainer for igb get them results out before its to late and no more wasting time on silly matters,we want these results now as we are not going anywhere until such time as this matter is put to rest.

PAUL ,u are correct in all u have said apart from it being amazing ,People are frustrated and disillusioned by all that's going on and nothing seems to changing .I know more people now getting out of dogs than ever ,breeding down 40% ETC. I HAVE CALLED FOR THIS BOARD TO BE DISMISSED and I HAVE BEEN CALLED HARD LINED , The simple fact is we need change WITH GENUINE GREYHOUND ENTUESTS WITH PASSION FOR OUR SPORT ,something has to be done before its to late . We don't even know if THIS board are going to represent OUR INTERESTS AT THE WIMBLEDON HEARING THIS WEEK. Drugs cheats have to be stamped out as much as POSSIBLE ,HORSE RACING ,ATHLETICS ,SHOW JUMPIMG,SOCCER ,CYCLING ETC ARE STAMPING THEM OUT AND ARE ALL THE BETTER FOR IT. THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE IN THE SPORT WITH THERE OWN AGENDA, MINE IS FOR THE BETTERMENT OF THE SPORT FOR ALL, NOT JUST THE CHOSEN FEW AND THAT WILL ONY COME WITH THE RECRUITMENT OF INNOVATIVE PEOPLE TO BE PUT IN CHARGE.

we the dublin greyhound owners and breeders would like to show our support for petition to name and shame all who use drugs lets put them out of the greyhound industry we all have a job to also we do think that the igb board should not pick the control committee it has to be done independently.we think if it was done independently we might see all positive test their should be no exception well done dave cunningham

Thanks Michael ,and welcome on board , if you can ask your members to sign petition if they have not already done so ,this would be a great help ,and post any comments on forum ,it will help keep petition on main page , thanks again Michael.
We will be working hard to get an independent control committee to over see all samples ,and they wont have dogs in training .

control committee at the min are a joke. I get fined 250 euro last Friday 17/01/2014 for not returning a dog to kennels for a 3rd time for a urine sample, in hx on the 18/09/2012.He didn't pee before his race,he didn't pee after his race, put back in kennels for 3 races then taken out and walked for 15 mins still didn't pee then told id have to put him back in for another 3 races,i said your having a laugh that I have a drive of 1 and a half hours home. I was then told to walk him in the car park and I did, still no pee so I said I was going home.I all so offerd a blood sample but this fell on deaf ears.steward on the night (JOHN NOLAN) told my son who was walking the dog for his race that if the dog was walked proper he would pee?????.I have been racing since 2005 and till this day I have never had a positive and NEVER REFUSED to give a sample and just to rub salt in it a big trainer was in before me and walked away scott free.

Well Des that sums it up, it has taken all of 16 months to fool you into paying 250 ,tell them go swing ,they have squandered millions of taxpayers money needlessly due to the mismanagement of the board , they must be scraping the bottom of the barrel now ,with court cases and big pay-outs ,don't forget their expenses, another joke.
