Good luck michaele and Corey. I just saw a few of the pups from four different litters today and I am very happy with all. I hope you are equally when yours hit the ground. I am sure you will be.

was wondering about Banjo Boy x Miss Grange mating.

CLICK HERE
u can watch her here: EXTERNAL LINK
she is due to come on season around march.

was going to use swift fancy originally.

just trying to save up the $$$$ to give her one last litter. she was a great chaser with very strong bloodlines. her only litter to Surf Lorian was very ordinary, but I'd like to give her one more chance.

Congratulations I think t Nick Arena on his good bitch Silent Hill whelping in the last few days. 1 dog and 2 bitches living. Sadly lost too many following birth. Sorry to hear Nick and will make sure we support you given only three living pups in future. Best anyway. It only takes one so fingers crossed.

As I eluded to earlier Banjo Boy has been officially retired. Although the injury he suffered at his last start was a 4 - 6 week injury he is almost four and we decided the time is right.

As a result AI's will now be offered subject to availability. This has forced us to look at stud fee's and prices keeping in mind we want to be fair on all levels.

Natural AI's will be priced at $1,320.

We have also reviewed the price of frozen and this will be reduced to $880 as we believe it is the right difference for breeders given the way draws are split and the cost that breeders incur with implants which we want to factor in.

I can also confirm that we have or are in the process of making contact with all people who have paid $1,100 for his service and have offered a refund of $220 or a free service to him (in the breeders name to the end of 2015 and frozen only).

I am delighted and hope it is a good sign that everyone has chosen the latter for the right reasons. There are around 5 of the 20 or so people that I have not been able to get in touch with so if you see this please call me to exercise your option.

Finally we are thrilled with the breeders response to Banjo Boy being available for stud duties. To this point there are 22 litters whelped since June for a total of 131 living pups. His price drop has nothing to do with not getting his share of bitches.

True to his fertility count he has never missed a bitch.

There are also a further 12 or so bitches served with litters pending and a number of other broods waiting to come on.

Happy Australia Day to all.

Hi Andrew as all here may know I bred Banjo Boy well he is a very fast dog but also unlucky having a few injuries and now finished racing because of them .
His dam line is proven having thrown the Sweet It Is litter which between them have won a million in stake and Bonuses.
An award is coming from 5 dogs which includes him from the Off Springer litters an amazing feat which proves that his line will also throw on so best of luck with those who used him and any that do in the future.

Len you are right about the lines that is for sure. Exceptional lines that produce so many winners generation after generation. It is rare to see so many top class city winners so consistently. It is no fluke.

That gives me a cue to reminisce a little about Thommo's (Banjo Boy's) ability and highlights he gave Ken and I. It didn't matter if it was a straight, u-turn or two turns he was simply fast.

Won the Healesville Derby up the straight track against young sprinters of the highest quality, including a semi final win in a very fast 18.97 secs.

Ran the 2nd fastest ever time at Sandown 29.01 which he followed up with a 29.14 Melbourne Cup prelude win. Consistently ran in the 20's and 30's whether racing or trialling over 2 year period.

Equaled El Grand Senors Warragul track record 25.51. I know people will always question these races (the two Sandown) but I can and will only say that knowing what happened they will always be great memories and stand in my mind.

He proved this was no fluke later running 24.46 secs in a trial and also breaking the 400m track record in a trial running 22.15. Not sure any other dog has ever run two track records at Warragul over both distances.

Was a multiple Meadows winner with a best of 29.73.

Following the debacle of the 2013 Melbourne Cup scratching and confessed poor swabbing procedures of the GRV he then came out and beat Xylia Allen in his heat of the Cranbourne Cup and then beat Keybow by 3 lengths to win the final which also included Bookeeper and Innocent Til amongst others.

I will stand corrected but I think he is the only dog to ever be selected in two Shootouts something we are very proud of.

But along the way the ups have always been balanced with low-lights. Apart from the 2013 Melbourne Cup heat scratching to have to scratch (Due to a spider bite) from the 2014 Shootout after months of preparation and trialling the week before in 29.21secs was heartbreaking. It also pretty much ruined his last shot at a Melbourne Cup and severely interrupted the spring and summer racing.

Feels like something was missed along the way, but happy to have had one like him and hope the next one is less than 22 years away.

Anyway that is it now Lenny. Hope he does the line proud with whatever chances he gets at stud.

Best.

Andrew

Great reading Andrew & as you & Len have pointed out, the line is a 'must have' for breeders wanting to upgrade their stock. When you look at it objectively, across the board Banjo suits so many lines, it's hard to doubt he will be a success at stud.

I will most certainly be putting my money where my mouth is & using him to upgrade my lines in the near future

Ive just gone to Banjo Boy with a Mogambo bitch (Thats my cloud)ive got up here my third litter to be whelped up here to Banjo Boy. Im very excited about it .

Mick congrats on Girl aloud success as a broodie. I have a soft spot for her. But im tipping her daughters to throw on especially Zenoahs Entity and Banjo Boy will have class written all over them.

BANJO Boy pups ive seen are very leggy and character is out of this world. Ive got a litter of Banjo Boys up here out of Wilma Stanley and they were walking around whelping box before there eyes had opened.

If anybody wants to see my oldest Banjo Boys up here which are 7 months old bitches both weighing around the 28kg mark send me your email address and i will send some pics Would not hesitate to use Banjo Boy cause his pups are classy looking animals.
Best part about it all Andrew and Ken cant do enough to help you in regards to information and breeding information
