Hi trent len jones would know more. I think they were true stayers and in the era they raced stayers didn't really get the bitches. I believe echelon was acquired overseas for breeding purposes and grandeur may have been ill fated. But don't quote me. Both had a lot of talent. I have a Mogambo straw for his sisters, banjo star, next litter. Would give my right arm for a grandeur, echelon or dare I dream, sweet it is.

Echelon is a pet now he was going overseas but the deal fell through.
I believe he would throw real good racers but I have officially retired now.
All my race dogs now are out with my trainer.
I also have Off Springer's litter sister.
Also well as Athletica a litter sister to Sweet It Is which may be a thing in the future to think about She is lucky to be alive from a bad situation but was a very fast dog before that.
As you rightly point out this line is tops by both litters one being a successful repeat mating proves that.
Banjo Boy is a very good son from the middle litter from Off Springer to VMV which also indicates the strong bitch line in his pedigree he will throw on no doubt.

The best of his racing career may still be ongoing even though what he has done so far is excellent.

Congratulations to Kathleen Scott and her 9 times winning bitch, Roma Knows (Where's Pedro x Ryght Way), on their new litter to Banjo Boy. Another good size litter of 4 dogs and 4 bitches. Good luck to you Kathleen and thanks for your support of Banjo Boy. Best Andrew

Hi Ray. No question he offers breeders a very different proposition, particularly given his lines, it's continued success and his ability. I hope you are right. I think you are.

Corey, there are four bitches who have been inseminated not on the grv list. Scooters girl (litter sister to Evie's entity), royal assassin, Gracie Jo and Nicky's noment. There are quite a few bitches in waiting which will takes it to about 17. I personally have 4 that I am waiting to come on for him that I have picked out and am thrilled to have. Come on spring.

In meantime hoping the dog will be back and racing soon. We feel he is going as quick as ever and hope he can add to his record and run some super quick times in some good races.

When he finishes racing we hope to be able to offer breeders a broader range of services.

Best to all.

I had some pups trialling at Warragul the other day & there's a rumour that Banjo Boy nearly broke the track record there same day trialling. Anyone at the track to confirm?

I hope the rumours are true, Glenn. Nothing would be better than seeing him back to his brilliant best.

Mick

No secrets. We are all friends. He is slowly working into fitness. Slipped up Lang Lang a couple of Sundays ago in 16.41 and 16.43 an hour and a half apart.

Yes trialled over 400m at Warragul and went within .2 of the track record running into a stiff headwind in the straight and on a track not conducive to overly fast times. We think this is pretty competitive with the official record of 22.18 and his best 22.15 (trial) all things considered.

Not sure of next best of day but will find out when times are up.

Thanks for taking interest.

I would love to see him go around Angle Park in the Adelaide Cup. I think that place would suit him down to the ground

Or Perth maybe Ray?

I'd like to see him on a 480-500 horseshoe. I think he'd towel them up

Well the banjo boys x oamaru lass pups have left the property all but 2 all I can say is these pups have the best conformation and temperament ive seen. I m sure banjo boy will make it as a stud dog. Well done to Andrew and Ken on producing a dog of his calibre.

Good luck brad with the pups. Not sure which bitch you bought out of but from what all the breeders seem happy with what they have seen at this early stage.
