SH Avatar had his first winner from his first litter here in Australia, when Matt Machine won a semi of the Vic breeders at Ballarat in 25.33 last week, which was the fastest time of the night .. EXTERNAL LINK

His dam was moderately performed but is a sister to My Bro Fabio .. CLICK HERE

Steve he's only had 13 bitches over here which is the least of the latest four US sires that we've brought FS over to .. but I'm hearing pretty good reports so I think that'll change

Hi Geoff in hindsight I was thinking I maybe should of used KC and ALL instead of Avatar because when I did the home work I should of done earlier Lily Eve threw her best to Lonesome Cry who had Gable Dodge up close. But cant fault the pups I got from Avatar thanks again Geoff. Cheers Ted.

I wouldn't be too worried about Avatar Ted ... there's a litter coming through and if the reports are correct you'll be a happy man ... they're only young so still a while to go

The success of US sires in Oz has continued on over the last few days

Djays Octane sired a treble last night at The Meadows with Alan Boydy coming from last to win the first event .. Resident Djay leading all the way over 600m to pick up his 6th win on Melbourne city tracks and Kirk Bale also coming from well back to win the last race in 30.19

KC And All made it 4 winners on the night for US sires, when Quina Bale was successful in the restricted win distance race and another US bred chaser, Alan Membo put up a strong performance to win a grade 5 in 30.13. His dam is the imported US bitch Ucme Typhoon.

SH Avatar produced his first Group 1 finalist when Matt Machine qualified for the Melbourne Cup by winning his heat at Sandown on Thursday in 30.40. Matt Machine is from Avatars first ever litter whelped in Australia. KC And All youngster Dyna Boomer put up a huge run to miss out on qualifying by .002 when second to Barton Bale in the 3rd heat.

Hondo Black stayer Its A Bird qualified for the Bold Trease by winning the first heat. Kinloch Brae produced Avatar Jet who also made the final when running second in heat 2 and another Kinloch Brae son Blazin Bomber missed out on the Melbourne Cup final by .003 when a fast finishing second in heat 5 to Jesaulenko in 29.30

KC And All and Djays Octane are the busiest sires in the US, based on the latest monthly mating numbers released by the NGA. The 10 busiest were

1.) KC And All - 57
2.) Djays Octane - 51
3.) Barcelona Boss - 26
4.) Pat C Clement - 25
5.) Kiowa Mon Manny - 16
5.) SH Avatar - 16
7.) Trent Lee - 15
8.) Flying Fired Up - 14
9.) Flying Coal City - 13
10.) Seldom Told - 12

It has been fathomable hasn't it Geoff .....

(Edited due to trolling)

I also find there is no rime or reason why this is happening today but i guess we have to take look at the Quality of Sires we have today from the USA and they are a great bunch of dogs .
The dominance of the American race dog will continue on and the toughness we are now seeing is evident in the way the YANKS have bred over the years
...TOUGH DURABLE DOGS AND BITCHES ..

It is great to see a mix of blood that will further enhance our Colonial lines ..

Can i ask you Geoff
How many years now have you been importing Frozen in from the USA and overseas in general and what is your prediction for the future in regards to what sires and bloodlines are worth looking at .

Kev

Trolling .... ADMIN ..Please

All i pointed out was that the people who charge money for a service as a BREEDING ADVISORY never backed the AMERICAN sires and it's only been through hard work from Geoff and co that we see today a different breed of Greyhound in Australia and it was Geoff and others who have been fighting for years to show what the USA stud dogs can really do ....

I just pointed out that many people battered and hung so much crap on the American sires two years ago and those same people today are now singing their praises and it was people thinking outside of the Square who are now gaining success.

Diversity of blood in any breed has to be looked at but i am sorry to say that any future IMPORTS will be struggling to even get 10 bitches a year so i believe now we can breed within Australia some far superior race dogs in the future ...Our GENE pool has just changed for the better ...

Hi Geoff having bred from both SH Avatar and KC and All my preference of the two litters would be the Avatars they are six months younger but are all go they chase a toy much harder and even at this age look like racedogs. Having said that I am still happy with the KCs but they are a different build as they are very solid dogs and am about to start breaking them in so I might change my mind in the near future heres hoping. Thanks Geoff.

KC and ALLS pups have been to the straight track 3 times now and chased their bums off all there thought they went good now to try them on the arm. See where one of his pups won a heat of the chief and SH Avatar won with Matts Machine .

Ted ... both KC And All and SH Avatar had a first round winner in the heats with Matt Machine the fastest qualifier in 29.79. Also for Avatar, Ebby Chance was an impressive winner at Bulli in BON time of 26.22 winning by 10 lens

Geoff, looking at the first semi of the chief both matt machine and boomer showed a lot of strength coming from behind to win and run third. Also my pups went up the straight behind the arm like veterans had a few offers to take them home. cheers ted. ps. at Devonport

SH Avatar in Australia

All American superstar, SH AVATAR has produced his first GROUP WINNER in Australia with SUFFRAGETTE taking out the $150k first prize in Group 2 LAUNCHING PAD last night at Sandown in 29.43 after taking out her semi the previous week in 29.35.

As of right now SH Avatar has JUST 10 LITTERS OF RACING AGE in Australia, with his eleventh litter only 16 months old.

His first litter in Australia has produced city winners MATT MACHINE and EXS AND OHS. MATT MACHINE is already a multiple Group finalist, making the Melbourne Cup, Silver Chief and Australian Cup finals over the last 6 months and last Wednesday he had a solid victory over superstar JESAULENKO at Ballarat in 25.17

This Saturday night EBBY RIPPER steps out in the final of the Association Cup as one of the top picks. She is one of NSWs top stayers and the track record holder over the 710m distance at The Gardens in 41.70. She also broke the track record at Richmond in an exhibition match race running 41.60 and has won at Sandown in a flying 41.68.

On the same night, in the New Sensation final for the young stars, EBBY CHANCE exits from the awkward box 4. She has won at WP in 30secs and has some very hot victories around the provincial circuit, with wins at Gosford in 29.43, Richmond in 30.40 and Bulli in 26.22. Her litter sister UTAH MISS was a finalist in last months RICHMOND OAKS and has won at Dapto in 29.68 and Richmond in 30.73

Wheeler kennels, DAITHY ALLEN has now accumulated close on $50,000 in stakes with wins at Ballarat in 25.14 and multiple wins at Sandown and The Meadows. She will also be featuring in the highest class at Wentworth Park on Saturday night when contesting the Group 3 Ambosoli final.

Group racing is an important barometer of any potential sire and already SH AVATAR has shown he has the ability to deliver at that level and from only 10 litters of racing age.
