Another Group race finalist for the Van's Escalade x Droopys Hope litter. Best of luck to connections of Kilmore Sea Bird in the Group 3 RPGTV Puppy Final

Both look strong pups who finish on hard in their races
There are two more in the litter due to race very soon, a dog and a bitch. Good reports on the dog and the bitch is reported to have 'stayer' written all over.
The fifth pup, a dog, unfortunately broke a leg last week and will not race, but he was going well at the time.

To be fair the first litter were very average but I think that was a lot to do with sire choice. The second litter were a little more promising.
I've been waiting for this latest litter to start as I'll be interested to see how they fare. I do think the choice of stud is the best so far with 4x3 lines to Brett Lee and the Sonic Flight 'nick' with Larkhill Jo was well thought through.
They've certainly started well and long may it continue.

Agree Kevin, first litter was a poor sire choice
I can't believe they wouldn't go to a gun sire like Kinloch Brae with her first up
2nd litter had a couple of Group finalists and open winners
Agree, 3rd litter had a lot to hope for and so far a good start
She's just been mated to promising young freshman sire My Bro Fabio

Another good choice imo - keeping lines to Brett Lee and using a descendant of Eaglehawk Star. X's that work or at least improve your chances. Good luck.

Its always the sires fault when a litter disappoints!
I think its more about the choice of sire not being right for the bitch.
Many sires are successful in their own right yet there will be some bitches they don't throw well too.
First litter of 3 to reach the track won 33 races which isn't too shabby :-)

I'm not blaming the sire - he's thrown some very good dogs. I was merely commenting on the choice as he hasn't produced 'world beaters' to Ace Hi Rumble bitches imho. As Droopys Hope was one of the first AHR bitches to visit him I'm not blaming the breeder either as how were they to know? I'm simply stating with hindsight it was a lot to do with sire choice.

3rd pup to race from the litter, Ballinderry Girl, won her maiden, on debut, very strongly by 6 lengths tonight at Ipswich over 520m in 30.98
