Stud dogs/ Fee's/ and even broods being stopped from breeding by the PTB, the notion that there was over breeding, a total fabrication and myth IMO.

Getting the little guy to come back to breeding. We have stopped. The over regulation of what was an enjoyable past time and the treatment metered out by controlling bodies Australia wide.

GOBIS was a nice bonus but it was not the reason why we were breeding and I do believe GRV are looking for ways to promote breeding as the numbers are dropping off the face of the planet and I hear PAW is officially closing up shop by mid year. WE, LIKE EVRYONE ELSE WERE CHASING THE DREAM, THAT ELUSIVE CHAMP.

Love Thursday night at Sandown, 3 group 1's, 2 wins to the little guy/gal. Last years Sapphire and Dawson, 2 little guys. The dream is still alive but the people chasing it is diminishing.

All the best with the Banjo Andrew!

He might be but the Wheeler empire won't be. They have a cash cow so why would they.

They only problem I can see with them is rehoming there 2-300 plus dogs that use to retire every year. Or should I say no more trips to SA to give his dogs a holiday.

If you haven't already got your pink card and your bitch comes on season, state administrations are hamstringing breeders by NOT issueing pink cards for up to 3 weeks.

Kev if your planning to bred I would have thought you would get that well in advance. You can't blame anyone else.

Well it looks like we might be breeding two litters. Both have just come on season so if they have pups it's going to be a very busy time for us.

Not for getting there will be another later this year.

In for a penny in for a pound.

I am still breeding in the hope that these times are just the lull before the storm.. to achieve that,I'm foreseeing a change in attitude towards our industry, both by the powers to be & general public, due to the ongoing popularity of punting on the dishlickers. Hopefully the excitement of live racing will entice the crowds back one day too. I'm really optimistic that at the end of all this, sanity MUST prevail..

Don't know where you live Patrick. But in NSW this Liberal Govt washes it hands off Greyhound Racing come 2022. They are happy to accept Multi-Millions over the next 4/5 years, but WONT inject any Funds back into the Industry. (Grant as Rac/Min showed their LOATHING of Greyhound Racing) Imperative Patrick that they (Libs) are turfed out in 2019 State Election if we are to JUST survive

I agree, Terry. And probably more imperative is a minority pro greyhound racing party gets the balance of power because I don't trust the other major either. The anti racing and anti animal industries minnows need to be obliterated.
