I thought I would give this girl her own thread as she is looking to be a more than handy race bitch and will be my next broody.
To date she has had 11 starts for 7 wins 3 thirds and a fifth.
Tonight she ran a 22:43 over the 405m at Mandurah with a 6:48 first section. For those that don't know Mandurah that first section is pretty quick and will always put her in with a chance of getting the cookies.
As her race career progresses I will update this thread and will be doing the same when the time comes for her to go to the barn.

Regards

Simon

She beat some quality young dogs in that race Kev.
They all got a clear run and she just burned them off.
Getting excited about the Sure As pups now. Not long to go.

Cheers

I cannot wait to see her go over more ground and she just seems to get on going ....Well done to you mate for taking a risk and you won the vial for paddy when he first arrived in Australia ...

I just love the ballence of blood Kate has and the possibilitys are endless now for your future damline and i believe and the Owner believes that Paddy will make a very good Damsire and it wont be long before we get to see his daughters carry on the tradiction

Wagtail Kate had her fourth run over the 490m tonight and posted a solid win in 27:41.
Her first 3 attempts showed that she is building her strength slowly by improving her times each week.
It will be interesting to see how far this girl can go.
I must say it is an awesome feeling to have bred and raised and now race a high quality dog.

Regards

Simon

How game are you mate!
CLICK HERE Heard he maybe serving some bitches in the future?
You can only go off his form I know but ask the right people and he raced with major issues and did carve out some super super impressive times in front of the right people.
I'm sure you'd get a natural serve and be back to have a beer without seeing the vet.

All I can say mate is you went with Paddy Whacker who never had a runner at the track as a gamble and Kate is the result. Good things can come from amazing places not always the simplest.

Wagtail Kate sizzles over 490m

John Iwanyk trained speedster Wagtail Kate made full use of box one when an all the way winner in tonights TABtouch Multi Formula Mixed 4/5. The daughter of Paddy Whacker exploded out of the boxes before leading throughout in a swift 27.41. Kennel mate Trickster Lumik chased her home (beaten 3 lengths) and finished second in close to a new personal best time. Juicylicious at his 490m debut ran a solid third for Graeme Hall and is sure to benefit greatly from the hitout. Wagtail Kate created a strong impression early in her career over 405m but after tonights performance now looks ready for a tilt at City Class racing over 520m at Cannington. She is raced by Norm Burke and now has 8 career victories from just 15 starts.

Yes Simon congratulations in Aella producing again as her first litter was far from hopeless either. I remember all those years ago when I was working with you and told you she was available and told you that you should pick her up and that being a Brett lee bitch bred the way she is that she would be a fair chance of throwing.

Hahaha

Thanks Johno, hope Nakita doesn't mind sniffing Kate's butt for 490m.
Good luck to both girls, safe travels and a 1/2 finish.

Cheers

Burkie

I see you had the wallet out again.. Box 1 mmmm
I've got the poor mans box as usual but yes a one/two would be nice but she doesn't jump well and has to do the chasing each time.
Goodluck anyway and I hope Kate doesn't do a full spin on the track when Nakita flys past her.

Well Wagtail Kate won her first grade 5 city race last week and backed that up again tonight winning her heat in the Sandi's Me Mum Memorial.
She will have her work cut out for her in the final being up against the Perth Cup winner and her half brother Ima Wagtail.

Good luck next week girl.
