I'd say like mother like son! The dam line all the way back has produced!

It takes 2 to tango Sean so the dam line deserves some credit for sure.
Have you seen footage of College Causeway and his son Mildean Panther if not i suggest you take a look, both monsters on the track.

He now holds two track records, this added to the track record over 440m at sale.

Don't mention College Causeway to Sean, that's like telling Matt James he's won a Fabregas pup! Lol

Will this boy retire to stud after his run in the Cup?

Why retire any dog in this era unless you are sure it's racing career is over. This dog can run fast.

Me I would race him as long as I can. anyone who thinks there is money in stud duties regardless of ability is dreaming.

Stud fees will be coming down in the next 2 - 4 years by a mile. Imo

I agree with you mate. The breeding game is not what it used to be

Craig I don't want to knock the dog but I'm sure many would be turned off by his 3 tickets which doesn't look good on your stud CV.

Super fast dog but sorry not for me.

But good look to connections I hope he proves me wrong when he goes to stud.

That's why I (perhaps incorrectly) assumed he may retire after his 3rd ticket. Undoubtedly a dog of enormous speed and brilliant pace.

This dog has so many lines within his pedigree that would match brilliantly with a large majority of bitches.

He's definitely a high risk/high reward prospect in my eyes ...

My question was directly correlated with the ticket he would have received from his 2nd in the Cup. My understanding is that after a dog receives 3x tickets it is a long wait to return to the tracks and with him being 3yrs 2months he may be approaching the end of his natural career (albeit he is performing brilliantly at the moment).

Like Surgeon he will get his chance ..

It is a very fine line between a freak a champion and a non chaser fighter .....

The connection would be so wrapped to have a dog of his ability and yes they should give him the summer months off and try again because as we have all pointed out it is a battle to get one Brood let alone 20 or 30 but we have all seen this before ..

Jezza IS NOT THE FIRST DOG TO DO THIS AND HE WILL NOT BE THE LAST ..

Ok let play devil's advocate here please if i can ...

Why don't we allow Fighters and non chasers to race Only against dogs like minded .....

You will always get a winner regardless what happens ...

People can then still race those dogs even after three fighting convictions and who cares the punter will not care about who sticks its nose in front on the line or not but surely we cannot send these dogs to purgatory any more..

This year and the next will see many dogs fail to chase properly because we have had sires that at times did throw those wayward types but without any tools to assist us today many pups don't chase after spending time on the farms and maybe why not throw on races for dogs with conviction because i can guarantee that the POOLS WILL INCREASE NOT DECREASE because everyone knows each dogs ability if its mind is on the job so the pools will grow because of any punter would bet odds of 5 6 to 1 the field ..
