With Ando's Mac one start away from his first Group win, what do you all think of his future in the stud scene?

And as predicted, he's a run away winner. Making the move back to NSW has him firing and is currently the best up and coming sprinter in NSW. Well done Luke.

Thanks Craig , simply amazing the journey we are on at the moment I hope it can continue . Unbelievable the following this dog has . In the lead up introduction you could hear crickets from runners 1-5 . Then comes the Mac the crowd erupted it was an amazing feeling and I must say we both had to hold the tears back. It was a sensational night and he delivered for his fans , punters and most of all our family . I am sure he will make it at stud . Great temperement , keen , brilliant early , strong to the line and most of all very well bred . Thanks Luke Anderson . GO THE MAC !!

Craig: He's only 28 months old. I'd concentrate only on racing for the next 12-18 months. Stud ranks a different ball game. Love his Blistering early pace. All the best to connections!

Micheale and Luke, whilst I don't know either of you from "Adam", (perhaps by sight), I do however know Jason very well ...massive congratulations to all concerned on Ando's Mac's Melbourne Cup victory - Fantastic!

I do have to say that whilst I was cheering and riding him on like a good 'un, when Jesaulenko moved up alongside, I thought my "added weight" had put the kibosh on him, but luckily he held on!

Has Jason stopped celebrating yet?

Craig much has happened since feb last year and it has been a real changing of the guard when it comes to the Racing greyhound today. There is no sense in harping on all that but to mention 2 and then a 3rd reason we will maybe see just how much change we have gone thru and there is much more to come
live baiting do it at ones own peril
The mass crackdown on Opiates Amphetamines Hormones/Steroids and Cobalt again dangerous territories to delve into when it comes to racing
And the 3rd reason was during these times dogs [And bitches] were being treated with some of these above drugs with no fear of being caught ..which brings us to Dogs going to Stud for mine breeders have been breeding with Synthetic Sires for way too long and by the looks this has also changed because finally we will have to make selections on Sires that have
Natural Ability in Speed
In Aggression to Chase
In Stamina
And that can reproduce
I think last nite we saw the 2 extremes of Chase with Aggression with natural Speed and Speed with Stamina in Andos Mac
On the other hand we saw the runner up not fully putting in [And No I think the 5 had his measure on the line ...Stamina] when it came up to the leaders Hindquarters for that Play which is a Shame.
So the Vic peters and the Melbourne Cup and Stud well he is a very good young dog is Ando and carries a beautiful Australian Bloodline I say that because this American & Irish theme is way back which makes me think he has burst on the scene at the right time as a future Sire make no Mistake there
Along with this he has the Rassmussen cross of Brett Lee along with Big Daddy Cool at the right Generation and on the right lines Brett Lee being the much proven Sireline and BDC who is a noted reproducer of good reproducing dams that have thrown on
If and when he goes to stud there is one thing I would like to see the connections of this dog do and that is ...please try to build the confidence of breeders with using Fresh Semen where it can be used whether that be natural or Fresh AI because as far as I am concerned and even though many good dogs have come and gone since Frozen's inception it has been the most detrimental Studmasters decision we have ever had I argued this with the Vet who was a leader in this field back near on 40 yrs ago and I say the same today ...give the breeder a Chance to breed Full litters of winners
Andos Mac has it all he is a far better chaser than what we are use to and hopefully he could be the Stud that brings the greyhound Industry back to the Status Quo of producing
Good Fast hard Chasing Abilty Dogs that just need a track to race on ...nothing else
Not only that El Grand Senor has produced a Superior Greyhound in his son Andos Mac ...unique one could say
good luck to All The Connections take the Win with pride and Enjoy the Future
And to Jason Mackay my hair has all but fallen out now and trips to the dogs are getting harder to do but great job well done ...and maybe chat over a beer at Maitland ...only if the hair grows back ..lol
