Yes Ryan, well Reeta was certainly legless. And completely over the top. The journo at Mt.Gambier asked me what made me choose her as a broodie and I answered honestly "I didnt know anything about greyhounds but she looked like Miata"
If I knew then what I know now (slightly more) there is no way I would have bred with her.

The Anniston/Goddess of Fire line was exactly what I was looking for.

Maybe you can tell me about some of the other 100% strike rate broods out there, over multiple litters.

not me I don't keep stats as a general rule.

it certainly is an achievement tho by you and and your crew, unfortunately for the sport an owner breeder may not be able to achieve those sort of strike rates and if this is whats expected or becomes somewhat the norm for owner trainers it will spell the end for the owner/breeder(if it hasn't already), and therefore drastically affect the sport.

a more interesting question wld be, wld you as a trainer help an owner breeder achieve those results if they had've bred Reeta instead of you ?

that's what wld need to happen for owner breeders to survive and the industry to survive as we knew it, in this climate.

I don't think it is possible Ryan.
As I said, we had no idea about greyhounds, not even what they eat.
We tried to find a trainer for her but everyone said no, so I thought well I might as well get a license.
It was a lot easier back then.
And I'm almost certain that nobody would breed with a bitch like her.

But I am very interested to know if there are other bitches in the history of the sport that have had this kind of record?
30 pups, 30 winners.
If not, I think she should be recognised within the industry.

Hey Jamie and Lyd - Warmest congrats on reaching such a milestone with Reetas amazing achievement. She was an awesome mum and hopefully has passed that trait alone onto her daughters. Well always remember her fondly. Cheers - Bron and Greg
