Hi David,

Damline is one of the best lines in Aus. It's the damline that produced 8x track record holder Awesome Assassin, Trousers who won 20 odd races at Sandown, G1 Laurels winner Labyrinth, G1 Silver Chief winner Fedex, G1 Aus Cup winner Isa Brown, Top stud Knocka Norris etc.,

On the track he was extremely fast early and mid race running Group 1 dog sections and was trained by arguably the best trainer in Aus who also trained Awesome Assassin. He broke 5 secs for the first section at the Meadows which is low flying.
He was approx a 30.00 dog at the the Meadows and 29.50 dog at Sandown. His best distances were up to 500m.

Hope that helps.

David, I was told many yrs ago by a genious Aus breeder the Light of Fire New Tears combination was gold and you get that through Knockabout Wok in Paddys Magic's pedigree and Royal Impact in your girls ped.

Spiral Nikita prevents him a little from being a genuine outcross although he is certainly inbred enough to get his chance there.

I'm afraid I don't know much of your more successful nicks there to make a further informed comment of how he wld suit your bitch in particular. You may be able to ask a few knowledgeable people on breeding there of what has nicked with your girls damline previously. Good luck if you go ahead with the mating. Cheers.

No worries David, thx for putting up Paddys Magic, he was a very fast dog I'd forgotten about.

Have always said breeding is mainly about damlines, even when you choose a sire the intensity they provide to their fast offspring appears to come from damlines attached to the sires sirelines, nicking with sires that have been previously successful with the broods damlines.
