Hi all,
I was hoping someone could share the name of the closest tracks to the Byran Bay NSW area. Also anyone that farms or rears greyhounds in that area.
Thanks in advance,
Doug

Lismore would be the closest track.

What are you after? Do you have a dog or want work ?

There are a few, but youd have to ring maybe Lismore tonight Australian EDST its about 8.50am now, so ring about 7pm or Casino Friday about 1pm if theyre racing. Alternatively, check datas classifieds and see if they have any advertised. From Grafton to the south, Kyogle to the north and Casino to the west there are plenty. I hope this helps.

Doug; Please explain your situation? Looking for property? Living Lifestyle, Surfing, Breeding? Racing? your very vague!!
Let me help you a BIT! There are NO Dog trainers in Byron Bay!
Byron Bay is VERY COSTLY, several high profile actors have property there over looking the headland, housing is very DEAR!
Secondly: It is a tourist destination, surfing, Holidaying, Piss/ups for packpackes (Urinating & Crapping in local parks, Creeping into Caravan Parks to use Showers, Toilets ) The other residents are Pot Smoking life style changing City Dwellers!
Thirdly: And most important to you, is the Local Council is GREEN!
They love Animals, Koala's, Roo's, Turtles, and SHARKS! Racing Greyhounds are TABOO! Your'll NEVER get a licence to own or occupy racing greyhounds. They place more onus on a Shark being saved than a Human Life: FACT. When they release a Turtle back into the sea they demand NATIONAL TV COUVRAGE. Byron Bay mayor & Ballina Mayor, Simon Richardson, David Smith are both GREEN TO THE CORE. Local State Reps, Tamara Smith (Greens) and Mark Pearson (Animal Act Aust) will see to your demise.
Look at Lismore, Casino, Grafton, Kyogle. Byron Bay No No

love your response Terry, LOL
I just may be in the area, and would like to learn more what the area has to offer for Greyhounds. Not necessarily just Byron bay, actually more of a 1/2 to 1 hr north of there.

If your an hour north of byron youll be sitting around the border somewhere and easiest track to visit would be albion park. They race on a sunday, monday, wednesday and a thursday. If you show up on a thursday night im generally there and am willing to show you the terrible food we get served and the slightly above average track we race on and ofcourse the processes of getting the dogs into the kennels past the ss officers
