Legit question (not being a smart alec) but if you really like Mepunga Blazer for your girl what difference does it make if he is $1650 or $100? You would know yourself that breeding & rearing a litter is an expensive excercise - why not use the dog you want?

It is a legit question and you're 100% right. I might still use him. It's just my personal opinion that new season sires are not being used due to the new level of entry level pricing. If price is no issue then small time breeders like myself will spend extra and use a proven sire. I think $1650 is about double what he should be and I wont be promoting that sort of fee by purchasing.

I'm not one to jump into first season sires but this looks interesting... CLICK HERE ... Group 1 winner, great pedigree...

Very interesting. Whole lot of Elusive Rebel in there which I love.
Back to my other point, Unlawful Entry is $1100, Mepunga Blazer $1650. Unlawful Entry won twice as many races, twice as much money and broke 3 track records.... Both first season sires. I've definitely missed something.

Mepunga Blazer has a great pedigree... By a sire of sires out of a G1 winning bitch... Depends on the individual I guess... A nice low price may help get numbers on the ground but then again $4400 didn't deter the Fernando followers and he has rewarded most in spades...

Fernando is Fernando. He's the King. All others are Princes.
Aussie infrared was another suggestion I like. Impeccable breeding and $1100.
Im sorry but if a banana is worth $2 Im not paying $3.50 regardless of how much I love bananas

1650 Jamie, I saw yesterday.
Have a look at Over Limit. A friend of mine has used him, $1100 I think. Straws available, the dog is in Ireland as a stud. very very fast, Ballarat track record
