"Its far too early to judge whether the new body overseeing the integrity and welfare of greyhound racing in NSW are a competent organisation.
Unfortunately, the signs arent good. Instead of being led by hard data and evidence, the first decisions of the new body could well be nothing more than a money grab justified on lip service to animal welfare."

After being an industry participant for 40 years & with another 20 plus years still to offer the sport I love, I'll personally put my cue in the rack if a pup bond is introduced.
I'm all for change but the lies & miss leading statements we have all witnessed over the last 3 years, along with rules made by those that think they know what's best for the industry, is all becoming a joke.
We are led to believe we have a say in these ridiculous suggestions through electronic submissions, mail, direct talks with our leaders or federal members....but as you get older & wiser you start to realize it's all just smoke & mirrors.
This country is being pressured by leaders chasing votes from undesirables instead of listening to the majority who are decent law-abiding citizens, & the Greyhound industry is just ONE example.
It won't be long before we'll need a permit just to walk down to the corner shops.
Pup bond IN, I'm OUT....& it's not about the money. It's more personal this time as it's a direct attack on our industry.
Hope their listening.

if and when they introduce a bond on pups that will be the last litter we breed we pay to much now time your pup is 12 months old it would be cheaper to buy a ready made dog why do they want to reduce numbers there's not enough dogs now to fill races sad state we live in.

It doesn't affect my State Trent as it's been put on the back-burner for now...I'm just stating my opinion for those Welshman.
& No I won't be "Side-Stepping" something I'm perfectly schooled up on & want to do.
It's a joke Trent & it's time we all got together & cleaned out the do-gooders like we did in orange.

A puppy bond is unworkable if it applies to only one state so I would have thought it was permanently on backburrner until at least the Eastern states are onboard & cant see that happening.

puppy bond will be the last straw for me as a breeder ,it will only drive the price of a pup up with costs at an all time high. Costings Straw say Fernando $5500 Insamination say $500 Whelping. $5000 with needles Registration of litter. $150 Up keep of brood bitch $ 2500 =. $13650 Before you have one pup Hopefully you have decent size litter to recover money

More like hope you have a small litter so your not stuck paying the bond for numerous pups that you cant sell in a slow market.

The bond and all 122 recommendations from Morris Iemma report will ALL be introduced whether we like it or not, Mestrov and brown were just on tour for lip service and to be seen as giving participants a voice ( sure some minor things might come out of it) Q did they discuss any of these recommendations while on tour ?
The new welfre and integrity board have one task which is to implement the parliamentary inquiry reforms based on the McHugh court case. The Board know nothing about the industry or have any real interest which is exactly why they are chosen. Yes they will also go on a grand tour, but thier instructions are very clear.
The industry will be given no further funds and to implement all the costly changes with the desired outcome to shrink the industry ( and dogs being bred to satisfy the public !) with a grand plan to let the industry to become unviable and close itself by stealth.
This is the safest politically correct method.
If your a non believer email Mestrov (who has guaranteed to personally reply to all emails ) and ask him simple direct questions. Others have hence my reply

The Government ignored the Upper House Enquiry Recommendations and now because it suits their agenda theyre going to go full throttle at the industry with the McHughs Special Commissions Recommendations! You know who you have to vote for.

What is to stop a few large breeders going across the border registering their litter in another state and transferring pups back to NSW to be owned & raced in that state. NSW will receive no registration fees or pup bond but still be ultimately responsible for ensuring the dogs are rehomed at end of their career. Its a lose lose lose for nsw!

Sorry Robert I dont feel sorry for them at all they dont give s$&t about us why should we about them. Speaking with Anthony earlier tonight about this we seem to be doomed, and for all the comments about voting one way at election the slimy snakes will change to what ever works there way.
