Hey all,
My broodbitch, Barcelona Star, is due on season in the next mont or so, and i'm reel keen on putting her to Kinloch Brae, as I wanted an outcross,
Barcelona Star is by Fabregas out of a Bond bitch, and is a grand daughter of the great stayer, Bothing.
She was a very fast, strong 500m bitch, winning in fast times at Dapto, Gosford, Richmond and Wentworth Park from limited starts, who was destined for the longer races,
Your thoughts on this mating would be much appreciated,

Cheers in advance

Kinloch Brae looks good. His son Razldazl Jayfkay maybe a consideration and offers a 3x4 double up of Larkhill Jo

Hi Dean,

I believe arguably the main reason for Kinloch's success in Aus is because he carries cornerstone brood Elsie Moss in the x path behind Montague Memory thru her son Max Moss.

Any brood with Temlee in the x path may ignite a pedigree with Kinloch over her because behind Temlee is Mister Moss (Max Moss' litter brother). Your bitch carries Elsie Moss thru Temlee 3x within 12 gens. Once you get over 12 generations I've found the intensity created between littermates or full blood relations can be far more miss than hit.

It is almost impossible to get Elsie Moss in the x path thru a littermate cross in Aus within 9 gens. Kinloch Brae gives up Elsie Moss in the 6th generation(7th when mated). So you're a decent chance there with your girl carrying 3 doses of Temlee in x.

If however you are a Bothing fan and wld like to give your bitch a crack at producing a fast pup, you may want to look at recreating a Carlisle Jack type niche with your choice of sire.

There is some evidence that if you can recreate that successful sires niche at a high percentage (look at 88% or above within 5 gens), thru a damline attached directly to the sireline of the sire of your choice, and your bitch has what it takes to be a decent broodie, a city type pup(s) may result thru the intensity this niche creates.

The most common niche with Carlisle Jack's pedigree you may want to consider replicating within a sires damlines wld be Head Honcho, New Tears and Bowetzel. For example this is Dyna Villa's dam Roxio Bale covering that Head Honcho, New Tears and Bowetzel niche in Carlisle Jack's pedigree CLICK HERE at a high 88% within 5 gens. This is the result CLICK HERE ,as you can see it also incorpoprates a partial outcross Droopy's Viery who carries one of the 3 niche dogs in Head Honcho. Just an example. Good luck.
