I'm probably in a minority of one here but I find the lack of a central up to date stud dog directory really frustrating. Is it feasible that Greyhound Data could negotiate with the UK and Irish Stud Books to add Stud Dogs as and when a litter is registered? A list of 'active' sires with contact details of the Stud Keeper would be incredibly useful. Surely it would then be possible to charge a small annual fee to access the Stud Directory?

That would be a great tool to be able to use

The GSB pages list the stud dogs that have litters registered with them, including Irish based, on their website.

I know that may not capture all dogs but will give a more up to date record than on the data pages.

Yes thanks Rich. I know we have various online databases and for that I'm grateful but oddly it still seems fractured and not too dissimilar to accessing volumes of the Stud Books, Greyhound Magazine, Sporting Press and anything else to do with pedigrees back in the day! Obviously I'm joking of sorts, but everything up to date and all in one place remains a dream.

Just an example (not an advert) watching the Nottinghamshire British Breeders TooLateToSell appears to have hit the ground running. I was aware Holdem Spy was standing but not this son of Hondo Black.

I am in complete agreement with Kevin here. Surely in this day and age it should not be so difficult to get an updated list of active sires along with there current fees.

I believe anybody that has a sire, can update their particulars on this website for free.

I know if I was a studmaster, I would list all my sire's & update them on a regular basis. It's not hard to do.

Although your suggestion is a valid one the task required by those running this site, updating each & every stud dog in the world...would be very time consuming & impossible to cover.

Steven I was suggesting GD link with the UK and Irish Stud Books. I'd certainly pay to access a database that records an active stud dog (date of last litter recorded) contact details of stud keeper (updated upon litter registration). Everything in one place for UK and Irish breeders would be a great innovation imo.
