You're spot on there Matt given FB and Bb have served around 100 and 80 bitches respectively this year alone there can't be a lot left but given we are breeding ourselves into a corner there should be some opportunities down the track in the future particularly for sires without those dogs within there pedigree.
I'm in that position myself given our first three litters where Fab, BB And FB and given the likes of KB and KC and All BI are all no longer available we will have to start looking elsewhere.

The 3 freshman sires who will make it due to numbers amongst other things are Aston Dee Bee, Mepunga Blazer and new kid on the block My Redeemer. But the dog that could make it if given half a chance in my opinion is Zinzan Brooke he is suitable for most bitches being a virtual Australian outcross no Brett Lee,Bombastic Shiraz or Collision. I picked up a litter of pups by him today from the transporter Peter Simpson and he quoted "that they are the best pups he has handled in 40 years involvement in the sport".

Hi Luke

I took the two black bitches from that litter from Richmond to past Bathurst after picking them up from Peter.

Beautiful outgoing pups who handled the trip like veterans, considering they had been on the road for 12 hours.

Got them out but they were as bright as a button.

Had a mate in the car who is now going to use Zinzan Brooke over his bitch after observing these pups.

However, I agree with you, the studs with the numbers will always get the most attention.

I like all 3 of the dogs you have mentioned as well but breeders need to think outside the square

I think half brothers Pindari Express & Andos Mac will produce...if they get enough opportunity.

Unfortunately 95% of these sires will fail due to not getting numbers

Very true 95% wont make it.

Its a tough for young stud dogs people either love you or wont you use.

Darren

It's 95% about selling the pups from the litter and 5% due to proper breeding techniques

This isn't meant to be disrespectful

*blazin bomber (underutilized, but 1st crop broke in good)
*pantera neara (underutilized)
*big black (only starting, offering heavily reduced services but may struggle)
*vanderworp (only starting out, could struggle outside wa)
*my redeemer (only starting out, getting plenty of respect)
*jesaulenko (struggling)
*margins (struggling)
*cutting edge (underused, but 1st crop can run so numbers could improve)
*moreira (underused, 1st crop OK numbers should improve)
*brad hill billy (underused, recent break ins should help)
*fantastic spiral (struggling)
*let it develop (had a few services with a few talented runners already)
*black bear Lee (underused, first crop ok)
*LA grand logie (struggling, deserves better)
*dyna Villa (wheeler must know something, but most a bit field shy)
*tauread (underused)
*Dundee osprey (underused)
*unlawful entry (underused, but some very good wraps about that could change that)
*worm burner (big wraps on his 1st crop, could be extremely good)
*burn one down (underused)
*paua to roar (underused)
*innocent til (struggling)
*xtreme knocka (struggling)

*torque flight (struggling)

*Aussie infrared (slightly underused)
*ritza Lenny (underused)
*mister twister (struggling)
*bubble guppy (not a clue)

*andos Mac (getting a chance)
*lightning frank (underused)
*bewildering (bit quiet, could change with a change of stud farm)
*shima bar (underused)
*rippin Sam (had a few services, but will probably struggle being a stayer)
*Bernardo (underused so far, being a outcross could help him into the future)
*hecton bale (still racing with 1 or 2 litters)
*mepunga blazer (getting his chance)
*jimmy newob (don't think he's serving yet)
*Aston dee bee (getting his chance)

*west on Augie (still racing, but available)
*fast times (only new)

Great summary Matt- appreciate you taking the time out to write it up and l agree with what is written.

I have a pup by Sulzanti who just is doing everything right, chases anything and has broken in above average . I would consider buying another by him.

Orson Allen will havevrhem lined up when he is done . A son of KC that just had it all

Dyna villa most pups are field shy

Please Matt elaborate this theory on his first 100 offspring to hit the tracks
Seriously interested in your thoughts and how you have arrived at this evaluation

Be good if you could name a few of the ones that have done this what I would imagine should be easy to notice trait , considering most of his offspring are doing this ..... 50-60 of them roughly by your words

First Ive heard of all these villas running around shy of others ?

Should be an interesting read , take your time or as many days as needed to get a handful of races to show me this please
Cheers

Ps not being disrespectful either to you , just asking you to elaborate on your evidence

I didn't want to offend anyone. Its just my personal opinion on what I've seen and heard. I'll rephrase, dyna villa hasn't had a large pool of dogs race as of yet but what he has had race Paul wheeler so far has had the majority of the luck with. I have heard people say to me that they trial a lot better then they go in a field (I'm not going to name anyone because if they wanted their opinion out they'd be on this forum).

I'm aware that there is a hot litter coming through for wheelers and I'm gonna guess you've got a couple of handy ones too. Good luck with them, hopefully I'm completely wrong.

Provided he comes back for another campaign I think Aston kimetto can get a fair few services that Orson Allen would've otherwise got. Around the 1 turn tracks he probably had Orson Allen covered not that long ago. Yes Orson Allen has been dominant at cannington, Horsham etc. recently, but there was also no Aston kimetto to run over the top of him in the strait

Matt

You decided to pigeon hole ( summarise) over 50 sires Im guessing
For me thats interesting in itself or a hard reach in anyones go , no offence

And as you know , I do have a slight obsession with following sires and damlines and so forth
Im not upset about what anyone writes about any topic , all I did was read your one line descriptions on sires who have none or 5-15 litters on the ground

With most runners we can all agree you can spot a trait occurring
I found field shy an interesting description

Now that you have elaborated on trialing better then field performing ,no worries
Coz I cant remember any villa running with a trait of not having a go or turning it up

I actually thought they showed pretty good chase all round
Wheeler might have had the highest quality success ,but there is actually qiute a few that have enjoyed track success with nearly every litter he has had producing one or more 100 rated pup in each litter ( which can be a load of shyt also)
But every sire gets the same rate

I dont know what I have Matt and I wont judge till they hit track , nice lookers but

If your interested in sires and searching for that bit more detail on them ,you should go visit them at sires on ice , take a bitch to get done and go and look at them in person and see what theyre made of

Villa is inbetween banjo boy and zambora brockie , all fine specimens
With keybow who I noticed hasnt got a mention on here a few doors up ! Talk about solid as a brick

Cheers Matt

I wasn't trying to pigeonhole/summerise any sires, more pointing out how unfair it is for most sires.

But to be honest I can't really disagree with anything you posted. Like yourself I keep a pretty close eye on the progress of most sires. I can guarantee there are sires I think are great that people would laugh at and sires I don't rate that people love.

Keybow probably hasn't had a mention because he's had a pretty large number of dogs perform on the track already.

I find it interesting to see SULZANTI isnt in that long list.
From what I read from The Recorder.: As of the 1st of January to now,
Sulzanti sits at number 32 in top 100 sires so far this year ranked by prize money
He has had 48 runners
282 starts
50 wins 42 seconds 40 thirds
Strike rate of 18% win 47% Place rate.
He has only 10 litters Racing
29 litters on the ground
Considering the market and the Quality of bitches he has served Im extremely happy with the way he has performed.
Luckily for me Im still selling a few straws and higher quality Broods are using him now.

To be completely honest I didn't put him on the up and coming sire list I made up (I said I'd miss some) because I thought he was more established than he was because he's getting city winners most weeks.

I agree it's a tough market, but you probably shouldn't be mentioning the quality he's received. If they were no good he wouldn't be getting consistant winners

Both keybow and Sulzanti only have between 10-15 litters above 2 years old
They are both new and both have similar results
Saying his broods thus far arent the highest quality isnt a slur to brood owners
Its simple facts , no different to highlighting the top sires have the cream
Its no disrespect to Barcia or Fernando theyve earnt it
But its still fact to take note

If your one of the owners of a brood who have opted to use Sulzanti keybow or Hey Fergus and you think your 400mtr country winning brood is as good as a 600 mtr grp running ,winning or previously producing grp brood and your offended by a stud master calling it as it is ! Or your someone on the outside who had nothing to do with any of these matings but yet have an opinion on what is offensive

Snap out of it , no one said they didnt have certain qualities

Ask any struggling stud master , its how it is and to be expected
Im sure any studmaster is great full to anyone who has tried or given their sire a leg up ..... it goes without saying doesnt it

Matt. I call it as it is because its true...I dont dance around the facts.
In many cases he will have raised the value of some of these Broods next litters
He has had few nice Broods too.

Spot on Nathan , cant pick and choose at the bottom of the ladder . Whilst Andos Mac has received a few broods Im surprised he hasnt received more . Im not sure why breeders shy away from certain dogs and flock to others . Andos Mac had high speed , strength , chase and raced at the top level his whole career contesting the warnabool cup at only his 5th start . His breeding is 2nd to none with his mother producing champions with more just about to hit the tracks from her wheres Pedro litter . I have used him twice and they are the best pups chase and determination wise we have ever had . However we all say that dont we .... cheers Luke .

"Money Talks" divide prize money by starts to see how well a stud is doing.

Barcia $500.05 a start

Fernando Bale $762.41

KC and All $844.97

Sulzanti $396.30

Wheres Pedro $339.28

Hostile $286.40

Anyway just a guide and younger sires don't have those more maturer runners racing in higher grade.
