I see the department of agriculture had Gerry holian up in court on 40 summonses for having a cocktail of drugs on his premises including steroids.
Gerry has been caught a number of occasions for performance enhancing drugs on both the track and the field and on both sides of the Irish sea.
It's time the licences of holian and the other top trainers with multiple offences are revoked.
There is no place for them in the greyhound game, him and his equals are killing the sport.

Correct Francis and I do agree with you and i have to say igb control Stewarts are doing as good a job as they can i think a lot of the hold ups ect are due to legal proceedures look no system is bullet proof in every sport and every walk of life your gonna have the system tested however I do feel in are current situation with all the bad publicity I would think twice about publishing negative post regarding our sport the antis are doing enough of that for us as it is...

Francis and Brian it amazes me the things trainers get away with over there an example is Clonbrien if it happened in Australia they would be outed. The stewards must have no power or they are as bad as the offenders.

Its all down to the Irish Legal System and the fact that the IGB is a government body and not a club.

Yvonne our controlling bodies are government owned doesn't stop them from rubbing out the cheats and the way I see it your system encourages cheats.Nothing against honest trainers but Jeez they must get pissed off with the way some get away with this.
