He is still producing some awesome greyhounds even though he has been deceased for a number of years

He has had some great and very fast sons to go to stud.

I find it amazing that up to now he hasn't really produced a son that can carry his sireline through to new generations

Dyna Tron, Dyna Villa, Shakey Jakey, Goodesy have all produced some fantastic dogs along the way etc

Even High Earner who is arguably his most successful son at stud doesn't have a son that could be deemed suitable to carry on the sire line

If anything they all seem to excel as broodbitch sires and very prominent in the tail line of many fast dogs and newer sires, but there are at the moment no sons that can lay claim to his mantle

Time for Feral Franky and Good Odds Harada to step up...they will definitely get their chance from what I am hearing

G'day Sandro,i was only recently thinking about the same re Collision, considering his pedigree.Do you think it could be that Collision inability to do this is in some strange way,due to maybe not having enough of the great sire Temlee & possibly Brother Fox,in his bloodlines (who both threw sire's who continued throw sucessful sire's )??
Like you said,Franky is in very very high demand from very prominent breeders here & abroad,& i do believe that he will carry on Collision's legacy..Franky does have those above mentioned qualities. Cheers mate.

Hi Hayden

Always surprised he never got many bitches.

As you say given his peidgree having virtually the the same damline as Feral Franky & Good Odds Harada

Interesting that the Hallinans were the first breeders to put a bitch to him and looks like they have been rewarded

The dam was a top stayer and bred on very solid staying lines

That may be the trick with them

And it's always been that way Sandro regarding the Collision sire-line....stretching right back to the GREAT GREAT - PRETTY SHORT.

If you recall (back in the day) PRETTY SHORT & BROTHER FOX were the GO TO sires back in the 80's.

Both were grand-sires of the great TEMLEE, but the BROTHER FOX-SIRE-LINE seem to triumphant over PRETTY SHORT-SIRE-LINE in the long-run.

The BROTHER FOX-sire-line is still strongly represented thru BRETT LEE & sons...along with BARCIA BALE 8 a few others.

The PRETTY SHORT-sire-line is still sniffing around thru COLLISION..................& the BLACK SHIRAZ-sire-line is sort of thereabouts too.

But these sons of the dam SOLAR PAK, who is no slouch in the breeding barn may I say.....represents maybe the PRETTY SHORT/COLLISION-sirelines last change, & I think they'll both may make a good impact on the scene if the talk on the streets is correct.

Harada & Franky have both been at the top of the tree over the last year and deserve their share of Australia's best brood-bitches, which I'm sure they'll get.

What I'm looking forward to is seeing the results of those brood-bitches that BOTH utilize these sires.

Exciting times.

Nearly 17 years since Collision was born and he still has alot of whelpngs to come from 2018, 2019 & 2020. With limited numbers now he still features in GRV's Top 10 for metro winners & provincila tracks. I hope these 2 sons of Collision do make an impact in the future.

Sandro, Steve & Daryl - the more i look at FF & GOH's Damline & read your comments, their damline is different to other Collision Stud dogs - this damline has more of Brett Lee and Bombastic Shiraz whereas the others dont so that maybe the key.

G'day David,i agree with you & that's what i was eluding too,but also a large influence of Temlee,20%,along with Brother Fox's 17%,could very well be the key...& both Franky & Harada have that "secret key" to be very successful stud dog's for a very long time, that's just my humble opinion, cheers mate.

Collision bitches clicking with Fernando Bale so maybe if Collisions sons like Feral Franky & Good Odds Harada get Fernando Bale bitches that might get them some smart ones early in their stud career

You would think that the gene pool is ripe for it, as you say, but it would also look to help the older Collision sons who have been on the fringe and haver also produced some very handy gallopers over the years e.g. Swift & Smooth Fancy, Dyna Tron, Goodsey etc
