Youve no idea if it will be six months at least, could be sooner could be later, this is a game of wait and see

Barney the harsh reality is that regardless in four months at most buisness has to be resumed in every sector, covid 19 is gona have to be lived with until a vaccine is found, heart breaking that so many people will die and fall ill but the government know that economy can not be allowed to crash, the nhs and all services have to be paid for thats the brutal truth

I say that as an asthmatic so more vunerable than most, take airlines for one example every fleet is in danger of going under if this lasts 6 months do u think the government will allow that to happen. They r already covering british airways wage bill how long can that be sustained, and ur right about the 800 thousand businesses can they all be allowed to fold? Months after the initial peak life has to resume

I fully expect racing to return - behind closed doors initially but it will return within the next 3 months. Widespread antibody testing will identify those that have had the virus and gradually both countries UK and Ireland will recover. I don't expect to be taking a Greek holiday in the summer though - probably too early for that.

However for the foreseeable future we all have a responsibility to keep our loved ones safe from harm.

Will the people who came racing come back,in the north we soley depended on our club to finance the racing at drumbo,im not so sure that will happen ,there wasnt enough people to justify friday night, this time its bound to be worse given the finance side of things when this virous subsides, well all be a lot poorer and sponsership will be all but impossible to get and thats all we have,we,re not reconised by IGB but they,ll take our money along with the icc.i paid my first litter fee in1970 wonder how much iv,e paid by now .

Drumbo is unique we r stuck between two jurisdictions, no recognition from gbgb or financial support and icc just happy to collect with no give, lets just hope the owners can weather this storm and we get r racing back at some point. Theres no doubt racing will resume down south and across the water when this blows over. Im just wondering about the lack of pups next year if it last 5/6 months

English Horse Racing Authority asking for a May resumption (behind closed doors)

If that happens then the greyhounds will do so too

If the horse racing gets turned down the greyhounds may not because dog tracks dont need ambulances and ambulance staff at meetings

Paul get real greyhounds need VETS in attendance gbgb wont race without bookies or the public.also the bag meetings wont take place if the shops wont open because of social distancing.the igb did it because they have 16.5 million from the government.to get rid off. Regarding tracks in northern ireland,,just read talking dogs on the igb site to see thier attitude to our tracks up here.

Erm most of the racing is available to watch live for FREE on the bookmakers apps and/or RPGTV

You dont need on track bookmakers to form a market

You need one vet

????

I didnt say that they are

I said its normally done - and it can be again (behind closed doors)

I said you dont need ambulances and ambulance staff - and you dont

You need just 1 vet per meeting - and thats a fact

I said you dont need on course bookmakers to creat S.P.s for BAGS meetings - and you dont , its already been done

You are talking nonsense

You do not need bookmakers to actually be at the BAGS track to return a price

Most people bet online

This has ALREADY happened

Its you that doesnt get it

Its not my fault that on this particular Issue you are incorrect and out of date is it?

For sure I bet theres things that you are more knowledgeable about than me, I have no problem with that, but on this you are palpably wrong

Cheers

That's not actually the case Bernard.

Before racing was stopped my local track (Yarmouth) raced behind closed doors and were on RPGTV (begs meeting).

There were no bookmakers at the track only trainers/kennel hands and a minimum number of track staff.
