Hi everyone, I havent been on here for many years and I am a bit ( well a lot) out of touch but I would love to know what peoples' thoughts are on what sires are consistently producing strength in their pups. Thankyou in advance.

Hi Donna
Good to see you are back interested in breeding again .

There must be 30 Plus Sires at present many new some a bit older with first pups hitting the tracks now .
Some new and exciting Bloodlines many hail from the USA .

Fernando and Barcia lead the way in Australia
Breed to the best hope for the best .
Good Luck

Here's the Sire Stats for 550m + Progeny

CLICK HERE
I'm a terrible judge, but I've noticed recently Dyna Double One and My Bro Fabio seem to add strength to their Progeny.

Suggest Fernando, Zambora Brockie and Worm Burner throw strength.

Anything is possible, I remember both Collision and Barcia Bale being accused of being sires of short coursers early on in their stud careers.

Wormburner is a standout so far that apears to be throwing strong offspring.

From a small sample size Mepunga Blazer appears to throw 500+ dogs... Defs agree with MBF and DDO...

I wouldnt look to Fernando to add strength to a line. He can throw 700m dogs but only to 700m bitches.

Fabio and worm burner are the 2 standouts i think.

Mepunga blazer has started off well

Worm Burner is a standout for strength. And best value sire in Australia in my opinion at $1250.

Zambora Brokie, his first crop are chasing hard and look strong. His direct grandsire Bombastic Shiraz would be proud. in

I think Sam if referring to how great Mepunga Blazer has started off with throwing strength into runner, not just winning percentage.
Mepunga Blazer Progeny have had 20% of their starts over 400m or less.
Rita Lenny progeny have had 56% of their starts over 400m or less.
Although both still small sample sizes of 540 starts for MB and 329 starts for RL its a fair indication of which sire is throwing strength.

Hi James i have used both Mepunga Blazer and Ritza Lenny both of them throw strength !!!!
Take a look at the 500 meter City and TAB Track winners Lenny has thrown so far, i would describe none of them as weak !!!!!

hi Donna
Seamus here ....long time no hear, I hope all is well. have you still got Mineola Grand i see her premierfantasy pup held a soft tr. You dont seem to have had a lot of luck in breeding her with a loty of bitch pups while he line is usually much better in producing race dogs but brood bitches. I am glad you got some value from her. I do not regret selling her but would love to buy back the blood line. Anything for sale? Love to get a bitch mated to Fernando bale and sent here. Lets talk if its possible?

Please contacy me if you can [email protected]

To give you a small help the kinloch Brae here will produce strength to the irish lines. At present here the dog ballymac Best is outstanding with both coursing and track dogs. i dont know if you can get him but if you can I think hes an exceptional sire. the droopys jets are good too but not for staying power.

All the best Seamus.

Yes that's what i was referring to, throwing of strong dogs. Most new sires start out throwing 400m dogs till they mature, Mepunga has thrown 500m dogs from the get go which is a goof sign
