Could I get peoples honest opinions good or bad on this mating. Bit Chilli x Princess Twist. Its not Princess Twist but her sister who is not named at this stage. I personally like the mating but opinions may give me something to think about that I hadnt already. Thanks in advance. Cheers

mike wouldnt it be better to hold off breeding until you get a better feedback on litter as they developit so easyto get burnt when carry on with great expectation i personally was a victim of chasing a dream so hard and full of disappointments wish you the best mate go win some races

the breeding looks OK but i would not use a bitch that was not even good enough to be named It is hard enough to breed good pups out of a good bitch by using a bitch that could not run your setting yourself up for disappointment

Thanks Howard and Con, the bitch in question did not race and was not named due to breaking her leg during break in I believe. Her litter mates are OK without being brilliant with Black Twister possibly being the best. I was told that the bitch showed a lot of ability during break in and have no reason to doubt those people at this stage. Without trying to sound rude my question was on peoples opinions on the testmating good or bad ,not if I should breed from an unproven bitch. However I do appreciate your input. I certainly understand the risks taken with any mating. Ive had plenty of disappointments already with proven stock. Cheers

Hi Michael IMO this pedigree / testmating is out of the square. Unorthodox My concern is the damline last outcross was way back 7th dam Impish Dancer Since then its been all Temlee sire strains. I think your damline is screaming for outcross. If this pedigree throws a worthy bitch too breed with then your have to completely outcross. Good luck mate

Go for it Mick. "Gut Feeling" can be a good thing or total disappointment. Such is life.
If the cross of B.S./ Chili Berger was good enough to produce a "slouch" like Bit Chili I can't see any reason why it can't happen again except this time it is twofold through Tifi.
Good luck. I'll have anything that isn't black or blue in the litter. ;-)

Thanks Graham, I have looked at those options and still may go that way as I know where your coming from. I appreciate your thoughts on this particular mating. Cheers

Hi Michael. If you think the bitch is worth a shot, go for it. I do not buy into the theory that they need to be proven on the track. I'm not real sure about that mating though, I'd probably look to exploit the Brett Lee/Elusive Rebel in your bitch but I haven't had a real deep look. Good luck.

Hi Michael
If you are looking at introducing Bit Chili to the pedigree I would be looking at a sire like his son Walk Hard
He carries the outcross of Spiral Nikita as his granddam who has been particularly effective when coupled with the sires in your dam's pedigree

Hi Mick. I'd be looking for a sire that has a many generations proven group producing bottom maternal line has a strong top paternal line bringing in New Tears strain again which should click I reckon. Also sire MUST be a group winner. All the best m8.
