Big Al's Agenda has been expected and i have been warning anyone that will listen that this man always wanted to take down Cranbourne Club and its Members ..
Once again the sheep will sit back and say nothing and do nothing so nothing really changes does it
Cranbourne is the oldest track it is basically a goat track up the back straight and the 311 start is a disgrace and it does nothing to promote 500 meter racing .
So many dogs over the years have broken down on trial night or day many have been bitching for years for something to be done
This once again opens the door for Traralgon to now be the new Star

They are having trouble finding enough qualified staff to run a meeting

Correct. Most of their full time staff left. Nothing to do with GRV this time. They are just covering their bum so dogs remain safe and meetings aren't cancelled

You must admit its a good rant Dicky ..
So they say a lack of Qualified staff to drive a tractor and a water truck thats a bullshit cop out ..
Why dont they send some ex staff from traralgon or one or two boys from Sandown or the meadows over ..
Wanted tractor driver and water truck driver must also know how to rake sand and clean starting boxes You don't need a uni degree to drive a tractor and water truck the last time i looked ..
Victoria has record unemployment in and around Cranbourne you dont need to look that hard ....

Qualified staff you say i bet my left nut it is not a tractor driver issue ...
Why did the GRV take back control of Cranny only for them to sack staff or move them on ...Now we have no racing ...

Peter Craig (NCA President) has accepted request to become Interim GM and sort Cranbourne out. Fingers crossed for him, lots to do.

Clubs delegate operational responsibilities to paid employees. Voluntary committees are there to provide strategic direction, overall corporate governance & oversight, not to do the delegated work. The Committee acted pro-actively in both ensuring award compliance, & then remediating the issue when an issue was identified. Unlike rumours, such actions are provable. Unfortunately, the club has also been compromised for over a year by leakage of confidential information to both GRV & others. This has given rise to this & other unsubstantiated rumours, obviously without reference to the Committee Despite seeking, & getting, reaffirmation of commitment to the Committee Code of Conduct when I took over as acting President, the leaks continued. I am quite happy to discuss in more detail privately, but cannot disclose confidential Committee or matters precluded by law.

Ross Ideas are easy. Implementation is hard and it dont help when you poisoned from within the industry is full of back stabbers ..
The way the GRV now work is to dismantle the Clubs and appoint a administrator Alan Clayton has had this agenda since the day he took over control and let us look at the FACTS
Every Club in Victoria has gone through the same thing that is happening at Cranny right now .
Ross you need to liaise with other Presidents at all of the tracks now because many will tell you the same things about the GRV .
The Clubs are our Clubs they are not the GRVs THEY ARE THE MEMBERS CLUBS
and all money in the club accounts must be protected at all costs because Big Al will take the lot and appoint puppets to run things the way he wants .
Maybe i am wrong but please have a Chat to all of the Presidents they may enlighten you on what really goes on behind the scenes at the GRV
I also wish you well its a tough Gig you are taking on and we all appreciate the hard work you are doing at present you have everyone's support but please don't fold to the GRV like all of those Clubs before you
Have a good xmas Ross and your family ..
PS
Big Al has had Cranny in his sights for a very long time and if he had his way Cranny would be closed down and Traralgon would take up the slack this is his own pet project he wants it to succeed more than anything .
The facts are cranbourne is old its past its use by date as a safe track so what is next will the GRV commit to a track rebuild or are they dodging it like always ....
People have to read through the lines of diatribe to really see what agenda is on the table trust me the GRV lie they distort the facts and truth they distort things to suit their own agenda it slaps you in the face what is really going on behind the scenes ...

IMO the club structure is approaching obsolesance. Volunteers are soon to be a thing of the past and grv has a steamroller business model that ignores club constitutions, and the greyhound participants that voted in the content of these constitutions.
stated views on the motives and the abilities of the volunteers replacements are met with censorship but they cant change what they are. Just keep an eye on the club balance sheet and the increase in wages and they may give you a fair indication of their (lack of) performance
I would encourage all club members to join the gotba because you will have no further representation as a club member

The GOTBA has taken the bull by the horns they need our support and Membership more so today than ever before .

The GOTBA of Victoria is no longer a Mothers club they are now the LION of the Jungle they now have what they lost 20 years GUTS and a ferocious Bite and i am encouraged to see the New Committee now taking on Alan Clayton and the GRV head on ..
