Hi jakota Congratulations on your purchase and best of luck in the future with her Like stated above , great to see raw enthusiasm, hope and a willingness to research for future ventures Its all opinions as you stated yourself , and no one has the perfect or correct answer They are all past experiences that either worked for some or didnt for others hence their answer , some success and some failures They have nothing to do with you or your bitch There is NO right or WRONG What I will offer in advice or what I have experienced in the process you are about to endure lol ! Is Enjoy each stage for what it is , each stage lasts a certain period only Be patient and enjoy her for what she is Get to know your bitch regardless if she is reared not by yourself She will prosper in more ways then one if you do You will also more importantly know what sire is suitable for her when she comes of age in things such as temperament, and or what she lacks over all Buying straws at 3 months of age , whilst fun and exciting is only half the picture Going on blood lines only whilst isnt wrong , but I wouldnt say its ideal or great breeding to someone whos willing to put a bit of thought and effort to the best mating possible Just from a quick look , your dam line is good , but I do know of some non chasers in your dams dam We all have them , Im not knocking it Im being honest and making you aware of what could be important in picking a certain sire There are sires that throw talent .... and sires that throw hard chase Get to know your sires and what traits they are throwing race wise on the track When you know what you are looking for in a sire to match or upgrade your girls lackings , you will spot it a mile away in his runners With so many sires coming out every 1/4 ...... I would stop buying straws , keep your hard earned in your pocket and spend time on live research , not frozen research Good luck , keep chatting , you never know what anyone has to offer from a different prospective Ps. International blood has proven itself to be as vital and great as any , Im a massive fan of it , just be careful though on over use and underestimating the hard honest chase thats available in your own backyard One of the better breeders once told me , out of US ,Aust and Irish/UK sires The one to be more cautious about would be the latter If you would like to compare the US last crop to the Irish/UK Bella infrared ,Kc and all , Kinloch brae (he is American ) SH avatar All successful imop Djays octane , superior product ......failures In comparison Irish/UK Skywalker puma , Taylors sky , paradise Madison ,makeshift ..... All have failed dismally It will take a very great Irish/UK racer to succeed in Aust again Cheers Note . I have never bred or contested a GRP race , but I have tried as hard as the next bloke
