Victorian grading in general, particularly the introduction of grades 7&6, but also the rank limit meetings.

Agree Jamie. Tier 3, rank limit and bottom up grading all good initiatives to keep dogs racing and keep the grass roots going.

Thanks mickyes our 3300 laser is a game changer in as much we only use high grade lasers in our units not the cheap LEDs that many other manufacturers use .some time next week we will sell our 2000 GPPIFR laser.yes it is a game changer.

Rehoming and Welfare, far outway any other issue in the Greyhound industry. By the length of the Flemington straight.

A huge game changer is the use of human-grade meat away from knackery-fed meats

Yep and while its an urgency for us, its just the day-to-day norm of the 10 million strong [dogs and cats] PET ownership - EXTERNAL LINK

Keep it to an ALL breeds discussion and never again let them isolate greyhound racing away from the ALL breeds discussion I.E the dog owned by a human being. Should put the freaks of society back in their box!

We choose to race, they PET owners choose to take their dog down the local park and let them off the leash to run. Same thing - neither are forced to run, they choose to run, because thats what ALL breeds of dogs do!

With the breed we have and 8 billion people on the planet. We just need the right people running the sport, not dropping the ball, like they had!

I agree with your sentiments, but highlighting the errors of other dog owners and breeders doesn't help our cause. Finger pointing doesn't lessen our dismal rehoming rate.

Were not finger pointing, nor suggesting that. All, we need to make sure going forward. We never again allow the isolation of greyhound racing from the ALL breeds, a dog owned by a human discussion. Its more for others to be forced to look in the mirror.

Agree, it doesnt let us off the hook either, just puts us into proper perspective and we should take pride in leading the way.

It's hard to "lead the way" Darren, when we're the only ones on show.

Agree Micheal, thats the disgraceful part in the whole BS. However, Im all for taking positives out of a negative situation. Cant see them getting rid of GWIC, QRIC etc. However, we as an industry body, can say enough is enough and were not copping anymore anti BS, from outside or within. Ive said it before, we need an independent players association, to stand our ground with too much BS thrown at us!

Guess, the big first test for NSW, is signing off on the new Tweed Heads track, the way QLD has signed off on Yamanto. Despite, the knitting circle of opposition.

Baird had his free throw at the stumps trying to pinch Wenty for his developer mates. Its time the antis realised, thats the only reason we were banned. The POS, just used the anti agenda as his smokescreen!

Darren,

I would have thought that signing off on a replacement for Wentworth Park was a much bigger deal than the Tweed Heads proposal.

The WP lease runs out in a mere four years and we've heard zilch about a satisfactory replacement.

I wish they'd stop putting on these million dollar races here in NSW (it's like a big-dikk contest with Victoria) - and put that money towards securing the future of, so-called, city racing.

Wherever that place may be, (the planning should have happened ten years ago - but hasn't because of the turnstiles of CEO at GRNSW).

THIS will be the ultimate game-changer.
