We applied for the Diamond prefix 25+ years ago and were rightly told is was too common to be allowed to be registered to one person. Obviously Greyhounds Australasia have loosened your criteria subsequently, because when I asked to lock in a name with Diamond in it. I was told Diamond is a registered Suffix/Prefix, so I couldn't.

Poor decision in my opinion. There have been 1500+ dogs with a Diamond suffix/prefix according to Greyhound Data in Australia/NZ. To lock that name to one person is ridiculous.

Who got the diamond prefix/suffix?

I actually had plans of giving a dog a race name that ended in diamond very soon

I called all my dogs Winklee for years until someone from GA advised me that I could not use that prefix anymore unless I registered it in my name for a fee of course so I dropped the name and called them other names as I thought it was wrong.
