Hi all,

I have a bitch that is approx 2.1/2 - 3 weeks away from whelping. Today I have noticed that she has a bit of milk in her back nipples (under her back legs). This is her third litter and the previous 2 times this never happened. Should I be concerned or is it nature preparing for the big day?

An old post but did your bitch whelp as normal, i have one 3 weeks away and has milk also. They may produce milk early which could indicate pups are a day or two away but not 3 weeks.

They're all different mate.
That far out they won't be "fully loaded" but look hard enough and many times it's there.
What's the breeding?

I usually check the week leading up to whelping and only ever found the odd one producing no more than 2 days before due date. I noticed this bitch loading up so checked and yeh with 3 weeks to go. Sent you a pic in FaceBook messenger.
