Miss Holly, the dam of Paddys Flame could be used us an example too Darren. Heres an example I was going to use twice but due to issues with the sire in his early days, semen was unavailable at the time. CLICK HERE Here are some other ideas I do have in the pipeline to do with the DOUBLING OF BL if you don't mind me running them by you, Dan, WAD and who ever. The options are limited at the moment so these are just some of my matings that are to come.........Only if the sires and dams used in these examples show class. CLICK HERE CLICK HERE CLICK HERE CLICK HERE Like I said, there only ideas and are 4 or 5 years down the track but I'm sure you can see where I'm coming from. Fire away..............Stevo
and if it fires, I'd outcross the dam to an inbred outcross, (take your pick), and then mate it's daughters to the sire.............bit like 'Stately Bird/Cyrus The Virus' theme.
Can I give you a little tip mate..............each time you mate 'Hearts War', you best girl from each...........do a 'Deakin' and breed from her first............then race her...........and get these plans moving...........the mums and dads breeding these patterns are mere 'pawns' for their ancestors............it these ancestors that will determine the outcome moreso than the closer up names !!!!
Nice work................I've taught you well :)

Been crunching a few 'BL' double-up's myself with my own kids LUDDY...........and you're mention of 'Miss Holly' makes this a nice plan on paper I think..........
The outcross elements are a little 'Temlee-ish' in patterning too.............

I don't usually like to put my thoughts out there but I thought.............What the heck. I'm glad you like them DM. There not perfect but like I said, there only hopeful examples that may evaluate and maybe even be improved with time.......Especially if I take the Just The Best influence out of the first 2 examples and replace that sire with an out cross.
I'd love to do a R Deakin mating with the El Galo or Collision bitch but space is limited. The "Rebel On Fire" bitch who's only 2 and 5 months I've saved for this option especially. 2 in her litter have already won in town and another won there in a mid-week meeting last week so the dam-line is well and truly alive again.
I'm really disappoint that Paddy had problems when I wanted to used him. The pups would now be 15 months and just about there.
I'll have to email you with some more personal opinions. My beliefs have always been similar to your own, its hearting to know you agree as I appreciate your point of view. Yes you have taught me well but you have also made me believe what I already believe in my studies over the last 30 years. I'll leave it at that........Stevo. ps........I'll have a look at your future planings.

Yes I can see what you mean and both those imports click. What about this one first CLICK HERE I have one litter.........Maybe 2 litters left in Hearts War and Cosmic maybe her next.Maybe Paddy.......But I'll go with my gut feeling at the time.

Can't say I'm too keen on those examples AJ but I can see your point. I'm not a believer in the 2 x 3 in reverse. Head Honcho's dam is pretty close to your example CLICK HERE & Black top is similar but not exact either CLICK HERE Do you know of any other champs / breedings that contain your 2x3 cross? CLICK HERE .....Stevo JMO

Darren. Put Kaitlyn to CLICK HERE next and you will open up a world of options for these bitch pups starting in 2 years, and the options will be endless for the next 10 years after.

AJ,
I don't mind those patterns...............
At the end of the day, it's simply a matter of perseverance in breeding............with any belief......... some 'ways' work better than others but they all eventually have their day.
Steve,
Can't knock that theme..............I loved that 'Pure Octane' raced close to TR times on every major track..........quite a credential to be able to boast !!
His 'True Temptation/Secret Bride' into 'Flying Amy' is a 'clever' linebreeding I'd like to try myself too down the track........
But you know I love even more the racer that has the ability to storm home from behind.............'Westmead Hawk' type.........my achilles heel you could say (lol).......those super 'Zulu/Riviera Moss' descenders that are never beaten..............just bought a few frozens by Pat's 'Flying Scott'..........can't wait to use them.

One thing we have been waiting for is for daughters of Brett Lee to give us some quality dogs. Now that they are starting to appear, and from different sirelines we now face the challenge of making the right selection for the brood. For me, Smooth fancy may be one to produce females to breed on with when linebred to Brett Lee/Sobbing Sal with two seperate matings i have done. Obviously Cosmic Rumble and Lochinvar Marlow will cover their share of bitches also. The latter possibly the better for females with his sires influence and both he and Smooth Fancy carry that outcross a few removes back which would be to manys delight. Cosmic Rumble may be more of the gamble being the direct import sireline but will prove his value as a broodsire im sure. All three will play a part in a generation of bitches that we will be waiting on eagerly for their offspring and id say with numbers, some quality dogs will result from these three also, thus creating more linebreeding options for the future. Those waiting for these types of sires would have more than likely been breeding for their bitchs for several years now and like Poo says "its exciting time".

Hi Jayden, I had a quick look at a few test matings for your broodie and there should be some others on here to offer some more specific advice especially on line breeding but I did find Peter rocket and Thought that would be ballsy. Anyway Goodluck
