I reckon the reasons behind the choice of sire or brood, are as interesting as the pedigree itself. We all have our little theories, ideas and sometimes prejudices.
BTW our syndicate has a little rule of thumb we follow. Race 'em 'til their legs fall off and breed them until their Uterus' fall out ;-)

These pups are 8 months old, 4 dogs, 4 bitches, Head Bound x Holston River
I'm no fan of using a 100% outcross but FRANK......If you lived in Aussieland I'd buy one of these......Hands down. Fantastic choice and keep us informed on their progress. Very Nice and I not think you'll need much luck with them. Please send me a 28/29 kilo bitch...........Stevo.

Hope you don't mind me "doubling up" on threads, Stevo ...
No........Go for it AJ (wheeler jnr jnr jnr). That's the whole idea of the thread. To make it easier to see and find what's going on in the breeding world before and after it happens.............Cheers Stevo.

LOL - the Jeezas means the cross looks fantastic. Perfect for Premier Fantasy even if he wasn't proven to the damline. It's just up to the bitch to show what she's made of now.
