Hi Michael, I mainly knew Panda as a 600/700m dog and had her running a group dog ptp over the 600m at the Meadows. Either Barcia or Cosmic Rumble shld suit her as that damline seems to respond to dams that create breeding parallels to Light of Fire for obvious reasons(Kantarn Bale). For example both their dams create approx 94% of Light of fire's pedigree within 5 gens CLICK HERE (ref table below as Princess diro is also cross duplicated), CLICK HERE . The only difference is that the New Tears/Chariot Supreme/Princess Diro nick is only thru Sobbing Sal in Barcia's dams ped where as there is New Tears/Chariot Supreme and two Princess Diro's in Cosmic's dams (Spiritual Rumble)ped - one thru Sobbing Sal and the other thru Rumble Spirit. Personally I prefer the particular nick be spread throughout the damline but I know someone who tried Cosmic for this very reason and it didn't work out. My estimation the success rate is somewhere between 35% - 45% using this theory. Having said that breeders of yesteryear if they found a stud with a nick they liked which didn't work the first time, may look to repeat the mating to flip those percentages, but in this day and age..........your guess is as good as mine. Looking at the success of Panda's damline with Light of Fire using this theory with the dams directly attached to the sireline itself CLICK HERE , there's no where near the intensity CLICK HERE ; or here CLICK HERE ; some reverse intensity of approx 69% CLICK HERE but when you look at what intensity Sobbing Sal creates with Light of Fire CLICK HERE approx 94% AND 88% reverse intensity within 5 gens . The issue with Barcia and Cosmic from this perspective is that Sobbing Sal is not directly attached to their sireline, not at saying it wont work, but with this Jindara Bale damline of Panda's, I'd be far more confident of breeding a top city grade conveyance if Sobbing Sal was directly attached to the sires sireline. btw I was just helping Simon with his question. I don't for one minute think breeding is as easy as duplicating Sobbing Sal within a ped. That may be the end result at face value but I wld want to logically know why duplicating Sobbing Sal was beneficial to this particular damline. Cheers. ps. to do the 'click here' you just need to copy and paste the testmating addy, make sure you leave a space on either side of the pasted testmating addy or it wont work.
