Pretty emotional day for us today, after the win by THAIDAY NIGHT (Lochinvar Marlow x Fourpeat Elite) at Albion Park.
"TJ" was one of the last dogs we "got back" from RQ, after spending about 6 months in limbo, & then having to jump through more hoops in doing 3 compulsory 'return to race' trials at the insistence of the Authority.
After literally asking & pleading with 7 other Trainers to "give him a go", Brett Hazelgrove kindly agreed to take him into his small kennel of dogs.
Roll on a few months, and after finishing 2nd in a Heat then Final behind the highly promising French Idol in sizzling times, today he bounded out of box 6, running wide, spearing off at the turn, & running about like a drunken sailor in the straight, before still bolting in and posting a credible 22.92.
He's still green as grass and runs with an exaggerated galloping action; but I'm so damn proud of him, for trying his heart out, really stretching his neck much like a racehorse.
Obviously in the circumstances, it was a somewhat more emotional win than most; so I hope you'll forgive the novel! Lol
Congratulations to Tj's co-Owner Emma Warner, Trainer Brett Hazelgrove, and also the Arnold family who had whelped, reared, & previously prepared our boy.

Our amazing run 'up North' continued on the weekend, when SHAKE YOUR BOOTY made it 4 in a row in Top Grade at Cairns.
Certainly a decent effort by a bitch that was whelped in July 2011 (so next week she'll be 4yrs& 5 months of age!)
Keep the wins a'coming for us up there, John! :-)

Mark this will be the first of many to win from this litter. They are all shaping up well and we think we have stumbled on a broody that's worth gold . Keep an eye out - we have also just gone to Cosmic Rumble for her 2nd litter.Super excited mate!

Two Tone won for our litter tonight at Sandown, finishing the race off well, and his ever consistent brother, Dance Craze, ran third in a later race. Keep it up, boys !!
